Catch Up

Tayler and Rylee at Layton Park
HAPPY 4th of JULY!!!

We FINALLY have a reliable internet (we think!)
We switched from High Speed Clearfield to Qwest and Sean had everything hooked up Monday afternoon and then yesterday during the lightning storm we think it fried our modem so they had to come today and replace it. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it keeps working and it's not a curse at our house. We have had so many problems that I hope this is it.

Last week was fabulous since Sean had Friday off! He worked 4 10's so he had the day off. It was so nice to have him home. He is going to try and do that every week now so I have vowed to not schedule anything on Friday's! It is our day to be together (and I can say "no" to watching kids this day :)

After we played Friday it seemed like Sunday the next day, but it was only Saturday. Glorious! I hope it works out with his schedule.

We did fireworks Monday night with our neighbors (thank heavens) because it poured and we had lightning last night. We went to Layton Park yesterday to see the festivities and then came home for naps. The girls had a good time. They had a bunch of blow up toys that they played in, and then of course had snow cones and cotton candy. It was SOOO hot!!

We were planning on heading to Lagoon when everyone woke up, but at 5:30 the wind started howling and then the rain came and it poured and poured with lots of lightning and thunder. No Lagoon!

The main firework show at Clearfield park was cancelled so we did our own show with our friends the Neville's. It was a fun night inspite of the weather and when we finished our fireworks it started to rain again.

This morning I put Rylee's hair in pigtails. I love doing hair! I'm so glad that I have 2 girls to practice on. They are stubby little piggies, but all the hair is in. She also tried to wake Tayler up this morning for 30 minutes. It's so funny to see.

Julie came in Monday night and is coming up tomorrow to visit us for a few nights while Mom is on Trek. It'll be fun to see her and play.

Jen and Steve made it home safe from sunny Mexico safe and sound. I'm glad that they went and had a good time. Welcome home you two love birds.

Tonight is a girls night out. Hooray! We'll probably go to a dinner and a movie. I love nights like these. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Night out with my girl..

So last night after dinner, Tayler and I decided to hit Lagoon- just the two of us! Usually we go during the day and when we have Rylee I can't go on the rides with Tayler that she wants to ride because we don't have anyone to watch Rylee.

So last night we hit all the "big kid" rides. We had so much fun. It's funny because some of the rides are so fun, but you look silly if you are riding them as an adult, but since I HAD to ride them with Tay I got to enjoy them as well.

We arrived around 6:45 and didn't head out until 10 minutes to 10:00. We stayed and watched one of the shows. Tayler was in heaven with the dancing and singing. She sat there intently watching and clapping and smiling. Such a picture perfect moment. I love that little girl. She is so fun to be with. At one point she said "MOM" and it totally caught me off guard. I guess I felt like a kid again too!

Afterwards we hit McDonalds Redbox and found a movie to watch today.

All in all it was a great night!

A Day of Rest

This morning we missed the alarm and slept until 8:30 (Church starts at 9), but don't worry Tayler and I made it at 9:02. Total record.

Rylee was still running a high fever so Sean stayed home with her.

My proud moment of the day. Tayler was asked to give the scripture in Primary opening exercises. A month or so ago she was suppose to give the prayer and it turned into a total fiasco! She didn't (and made it very clear to everyone in the room that she wasn't going to) so I ended up doing it. I thought the same thing would happen again today, but she amazed me. She went up the little stairs, pulled down the microphone and repeated John 14:15 all by herself. I was such a proud momma!! My little sunbeam.

After Church I had to do a little V.T.-ing, but Sean and the girls waited for me to get home and we all had naps. It felt so good!!! My body is achin'. I guess the gym was not so friendly yesterday. I think I pulled every muscle that I have.
I might have to take the day off tomorrow! When I go with Sean I tend to over-do it because he helps me with all the equipment and I love it.

My little Rylee still isn't feeling so good. I'm not sure what she has. Last night Sean and I got to go out and so we left them with his sister Sherra. She said she was fine all night until the end and then she started feeling a little warm. Hope she will feel better soon. I hate to see her sick.

Anyway.. last night we went to dinner at The Pie and then went and saw "The Break-Up" It was pretty funny. Always nice to be out and about with my honey.

Hope that everyone had an awesome weekend. Loves and Hugs to all.

Out & About

Today was an out and about day with my Mom and cute little Emmy.
First we hit the mall. We shopped, ate, chatted, and found some major good deals at JC Penney. Love it when you hit the jackpot. I'll have to take photos of the outfits I bought when Tay has them on.

I love hanging out and not being home where people can call me to babysit. I think I have had kids every day this week. It's fine but it gets tiring to not go and do what you need to do or want to do.

After the Mall we went up to my Dad's grave. Always sad to see the headstone and think that he really is gone. I miss him so much. I hate to see the hurt in my Mom's eyes. It's hard to explain to my little 3 year old the "why?" part, but yet it's good to remember and answer that question as well. To hear it explained in its simplicity. It is Heavenly Father's plan. He knows our sorrow, yet also has given us the knowledge that we can be together again. How lucky are we. I can't imagine trying to press forward without that knowledge. We must press forward. We must strive for that goal of being together again. I have been blessed with such a wonderful family and I know that we can do it together. They are each wonderful examples to me. I watch my Mom press foward. I'm not sure how, but she does it and bears it well.

I am grateful for my blessings!!

1st Day of Summer AND...

Happy Birthday to my cutest little niece MEGHAN!!

(Meghan and Emmy at Jared's Wedding)

We love her and think she is a doll. Hope you have a great day and a great party. Loves and Hugs.

Today I woke up earlier than I normally do while my kids were still asleep and got all my chores finished (laundry, dishes, vacuuming, mopping). They both woke up right as I was finishing. It's so much easier! I think I will start doing that from now on. I liked the quiet time as well. And since my kids sleep until 9:00 or 9:30 it's pretty easy to get everything finished.

New Goal for the summer!

I think we are going to hit Lagoon today and play. Should be fun and tiresome!

They work!!

So yesterday Sean came out again to Mom's to finish the sprinklers and they work!!!! HOORAY.. everything went smoothly. Now we just need to continue to pray that everything will run smoothly. He woke up with the stomach flu, but still came out to finish. What a guy!

Yesterday little Emmy made it to our house about 10:30. We were all excited to see her. She is a terrific little girl. I forgot to snap some pictures so I will have to do it this week sometime. Tayler couldn't stop dancing and jumping around when she came. We ran a few errands and then I bought them lunch and we headed out to meet mom so that she could watch them while I went to work. Thanks Mom!

Happy Tuesday to everyone. I think we will do chores today and maybe go out to find Tayler a new Church dress. I bought Rylee one yesterday but couldn't find one for Tayler and as I was tucking her into bed she said "Mom do you think we could find a dress for me tomorrow with flowers that I can twirl in." Of course my little T! She is actually the one in need of it. She is growing out of her 4T one's already. She must have had a growth spurt.

Love you all!

Happy Day!

***this was suppose to post yesterday but it didn't for some reason***

Today was a wonderful day! First off, Happy Father's Day to everyone! I hope that everyone had an enjoyable, relaxing day.

We had a wonderful Father's Day. We woke up and made Sean breakfast and put Ribs in the Crockpot to cook for dinner. Yummy. Rylee and Tayler loved giving him his presents. He said that the new camera was his present, but that was boring so we went shopping and found some other things. We gave him a Wok (he has wanted one forever), some fancy Remington 6 in 1 shaving deal, and a CD. I think he liked it! He is such a wonderful Daddy. I am grateful for him in every way.

Sean and I had to teach the missionary class so I took Rylee to Nursery to see if she could stay in there (even though it is 2 weeks early until she is really suppose to go), but the Nursery leaders said it was fine and she did amazing! Church was so great again. HAPPY DAYS :)!!!!!

I forget how much I love the 18 month stage.

This weekend we spent Friday night at my Mom's house. The easy sprinkling project turned into a bit of a nightmare, but Sean is still in good spirits. He didn't get it finished so he will head out there tomorrow again. He got everything hooked up, but after he had tested everything and was ALMOST finished one of the parts blew. Oh well. He feels bad that he had to leave it 'undone', but he had to buy the part at Chads Spinklers up here in Layton so Saturday there was nothing more he could do. It will get done though! Hopefully tomorrow he won't run into bigger problems?! Cross your fingers. I think he made about 8 or 9 trips to Home Depot and back. It was hilarious. Thank heavens that they have one now in Tooele.

The girls and I had fun out at Grandma's though. Mom helped me sew my two eye spy bags and we did some pruning of the snowball bushes. It was very exhilarating.

Tomorrow Emmy comes! Hooray. Tayler couldn't be any more excited. It will be fun to see her. Hope they travel safely.

Have a great week everyone.

Off to Grandma's

We are off to Grandma's in a while for a sleep-over. Sean is going to work on the yard tonight and put in an electronic sprinkling system for my mom. Then tomorrow he will test it out and make sure that everything is running smoothly. After that the fun will begin to bring it back to life and make it lush, green and beautiful! All prayers are welcome :) Just kidding! It will be a fun project. I will have to take some before and after pictures so that everyone can see the change.

Tayler is quite excited to go to Grandma's again.

Hope that everyone has a great weekend. Love you all.

Tayler Ashley

My little Tayler. It was such a sweet, beautiful day when this little girl was born. Sadly we don't have digital pictures of her in the hospital because we didn't have a camera yet.

I remember being so overwhelmed, yet feeling so calm like I knew what to do (even though I truly didn't have a clue). She was such a good baby. In the hospital I wanted to hold her the whole day and night. I loved to look at her for hours & hours. My dad always called babies "time wasters" in which I completely agree!

This picture is funny because in later months Tayler would try and carry every single one of these stuffed animals when she came out of her room. Really-- EVERY, SINGLE ONE!! Then she would cry and cry if she couldn't. It reminded me of Gus on Cinderella trying to get every single piece of cheese in his hands only to have them all fall on the floor again. She couldn't bear to leave any of them behind and that is how she has always been. When Rylee came into the world, Tayler couldn't even leave her upstairs if we went downstairs. It would make her so upset if we even joked about leaving her home.

Tayler always had beautiful blue eyes that would light up any room. She has always had a sweet personality and is very quick to get her feelings hurt or feel sorry if she has done something wrong.

And the blanket. Taylers favorite thing in the whole wide world. She got attached to this blanket at a very young age and it is still going strong (even though it isn't so white anymore)
And has been a mother as well! Good thing Rylee has 2 mom's to watch after her (sometimes it is such a good help. I feel like I can take a break because T has it all under control.)

Tayler loves her friends and playing dress-up. She also loves to play outside, ride her bike, read books, cuddle, have sleep-overs in mom and dad's room, play with her toys, give great big hugs and kisses, loves when Dad comes home, and her little baby sister Rylee. She says daily.. "I love my baby sister" and she truly does. She is such a perfect little girl.
She has got the biggest and softest heart. (yep here's the blanket!!) I love her so much and am so grateful to be her MOMMY!!

Rylee Nykelle

I really can't remember life with out my little Rylee Pylee! This morning when I got her out of bed, I just had such an overwhelming feeling of love for this little girl. It's a miracle how they come into our lives and change the way we feel instantly. I've always wondered how you could love something so much that you truly don't even know. It must be their innocence and to know that you have been given this stewardship from up above. She is such a blessing to us and I love her so very much.

When she was first born Sean was the only one in the hospital that could get her to stop crying. He had the magic touch.

Then we come to now! She gives the best crusties to let you know that she doesn't want/like something! This one isn't the best one we could capture, but it gives the idea.

She loves to cuddle, read books, be held, hold hands, go outside, eat dirt, rocks, bark, etc., take tubbies, her pink blanket, playing with toys, watching Dora, and most of all her big sis Tay. Rarely can I leave her alone while Tayler is still taking a nap to not find her up in bed with T trying to wake her up.

She loves to swing and feel like a big kid. While T was gone to a birthday party on Tues. Rylee wanted to swing in the green one and I didn't think she could do it, but she held on for dear life for about 10 minutes and still didn't want to get off. I love this picture!
She has got a sparkle in her eye that helps calm my nerves and make the world a better place. I love this little girl more than I can say.

So Funny

We did purchase a new camera on Monday. It's a Cannon PowerShot and I love it. It is so much smaller than our old one. It's amazing how little everything is getting and how inexpensive they are (I mean in comparison to a few years ago!)

So this is a picture I captured last night. What a hoot huh? My little praying child. Sean and I laughed so hard while we were taking the picture. Love her!

Tonight we hit Lagoon! The girls absolutely love it and I love to watch them, especially Rylee. She has such a blast on the rides. It's so great when she is going around and around on the ride and you yell her name she immediately starts waving at whatever. It's quite amusing. Tonight was perfect because it was still cool from today's rain and not too crowded.

I will have to download some other pictures and get back on the bandwagon of posting WITH photos.

Weekend Re-Cap

I hate not having a camera!! It feels like I am missing so much. Sean and I are going to go and buy another one.. hopefully tonight. I should find the manual to our other one and try and figure out what is going on with it. If we get another one and then figure out what is wrong with ours right now then we will have 2 which is all the better. Really that is my master plan anyways!! :) Just kidding.
I'll send it to my brother in law Steve. They have the same camera and I know that he could fix it slick as a whistle.

We had a great week/weekend. Thursday we went out to Mom's house. She watched the kids while I went back to IHC for grievance. They loved being out there. It rained and rained and rained. I love rainy days, especially in the cozy log cabin. There were a few breaks in the storm so we went on a walk and tried to do some weeding! Unfortunately I started weeding actual flowers.. OOPS.. sorry Mom! Tayler kept wanting to go to the duck pond, but no ducks were ever there.

Friday we left Mom's around 7:20 p.m. to go and get Sean from the airport. Tayler was so excited to see her Daddy! She kept saying.. "I bet he is wearing a blue shirt." I'm not sure why that was such a pressing thing, but sure enough he had a blue shirt on.

Saturday Sean had to work at the SelectHealth Family Fitness Festival so we went down to Murray park to meet him and play on all the fun things. They had fire trucks and a life flight helicopter for the kids to look at. They also had a bunch of the blow up bouncing toys that Tayler loved. The rock wall was the biggest hit. Tayler was so proud of herself for doing it. I had left with Rylee, but Sean and Tayler stayed to do that. She made it up about 8 feet and then got a bit nervous. I wish I would have seen her. Sean said she was cute.

Sunday after Church we had a graduation party for Sean's brother Shane. Sean made us his famous pizza's. They were good as usual!! We had salad and dessert as well. It was a nice evening. We also got Ty and Asha yesterday afternoon for a sleep-over while their parents celebrated their anniversary last night and today.

BY the way.. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jen and Steve and also my Mom and Dad yesterday as well. Isn't that so funny that they were married on the same day?? In the same place?? Lovely! I'm sure my Dad was celebrating up above- he married a great lady. Hope you guys (Jen and Steve) had a great day too! Congrats on 12 years right?! Crazy how fast time flies.

Today was my honeys first day back to work in 2 weeks. Needless to say he wasn't so excited to go this morning, but went anyway. I love him so much! We had such a good talk yesterday. He is perfect for me in every way. I know I cause him much grief, but he somehow puts up with me and loves me in spite of it all-- Love you baby!!

Now the laundry needs doing and the house needs cleaning so I best go and make sure all 4 kids are behaving :) and get to work.

I hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend as well. Sorry for the boring post with no pictures. I promise we will fix that problem soon.

Time Wastin'

I really need those pictures of Cancun from my friend.. Sorry folks!

Tonight we went and had dinner at my friend Maria's house. It was a good break and good company to break up the monotony of everyday live without Sean. It was been good but I am really ready for him to come home, Friday won't come soon enough. We really miss him. This family full on had a cotton candy machine. It was the coolest thing! Tayler ate a ton and loved every minute of it. We made little pizza pockets with Rhodes rolls.. super tasty. I swear Rhodes rolls are good for just about anything! What a great little invention.

Last night Tayler went swimming and then had a sleepover with her cousins at Aunt Shantelles house. I totally missed her being home with me. She provides company and comfort, but she had fun so that was nice. Rylee and I hit Kohls on our night together. I bought 2 cute new outfits for myself finally. I always seem to shop for the kids, but last night was different. It was fantastic.

Okay.. so our trip to Mexico was amazing. The beaches were truly as they say.. white sand with crystal clear blue water.. It was spectacular. One of the beaches that we went to in Playa del Carmen was semi-topless... hello not something I wanted to see. And truly it was the people that shouldn't take off their tops that did. Yikes!

We did go to Chichen Itza where the ruins are. It did feel like you were in Book of Mormon times. It was crazy hot so it made it a little difficult to focus, but all in all it was a wonderful tour. I felt so sad for the kids that were with their parents in the hot sun who were trying to sell things. After a while it totally got on my nerves and I felt like screaming.. NO I don't want to buy your stuff, but I know that is their way of living. It made me incredibly grateful and humble. My friend and I kept giving all the kids our treats and drinks that we had in our back packs.

Another place that we went was called Xel-Ha. It was a huge park where you could snorkel, float the lazy river, watch/swim with the dolphins, cliff jump, etc. It was a great relaxing day.

On our Chichen Itza tour we went to a "cenote" which is and underground river. It was incredible.. I can't wait to post those pictures. It was the coolest place ever.

All in all it was a fabulous trip. I am so glad that we were able to go. I am extremely grateful to my mom and Sean's parents for keeping our kids for us. I am forever indebted to them.

Today I went to observe a dance class that I signed Tayler up for. I think she will like it. She loves to shake her hips. After watching for a while I thought how fun it would be to open up my own dance studio. I would love it! She is excited for it. I can't wait to see how she does.

When we got home from dinner I turned on the TV to Jay Leno and she said "Is that Taylor Hicks?" Clearly she watches way too much TV with her mama! When I turned on the end of "Apprentice" she started singing the "money money money" song.. too funny!

Rylee has seemed so big to me since I returned home. It's amazing how different they can look in only a week. She loves to say "YAAAAA" for everything you ask her. It makes me smiles! I love my kids so much.

I promise that I will try and post pictures soon. Loves!

Back in Action

WOW! What a trip! I can't believe that it has come and gone now. It was truly amazing. Everything was wonderful and I was SOOOO excited to see my kids yesterday. My mom had the house decorated with welcome home signs and cut out hearts everywhere. It was so cute and so good to be home. Rylee was a little unsure about me at first, but now we are back in the groove.

Sean had to leave again this morning on a business trip. I was sad to let him go since he will be gone for a whole week, but I guess I had him all to myself for a week so I can't complain.

So our camera decided to stop working after the first day of our trip so our friends took all of our pictures! Stupid camera. As soon as we get those pictures I will post a ton and give details of the trip, but right now I am tired so I will say nighty nighty for now.

Hope that everyone had a superb week. Love you!!

Manana salimos a CANCUN baby!

So everything is ready to go and we are off tomorrow morning. I can't believe it. Grandma Linton came up tonight since we leave so early while the kids are still sleeping.. and it has put my mind at ease. I hate to leave them, but I watched how excited they both were to have Grandma here so I know that they will be in good hands!! I always think.. I don't want to go and leave them, but it will be good for us.

Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC week. I hope to have some fun pictures to post next weekend.

Love you all!!!!!!

Beautiful Day

Little Tayler woke up this morning crying that her eye hurt and it was glued shut. After removing all of the goopies it was PINK! We headed to the Dr. to get her some eye drops. It is already looking MUCH better. I have no idea where she picked pink eye up from? I am sure it was from a shopping cart or something like that.. crazy kid!

This afternoon Sean came home early and let me go shopping for all the last minute things I have wanted to do before we leave for Mexico. It was so nice to shop without kids (much more effective and I was still in a good mood when I got home!) Thanks honey.. LOVE you.

I have done some major Spring cleaning. It feels so good to get all the cupboards and drawers cleaned out. I love it when my house is clean and everything has a place to go. NO MORE CLUTTER!!!!

3 more days and we are leaving on a jet plane! Can't wait! Crazy that it is this weekend already.

Hope that everyone is happy and healthy. Loves to all of you.

Monday Monday

So usually Monday's aren't too exciting, but today was spent with my great pal Carolyn! I think I could hang out with her 24-7! She is such a beautiful person inside and out.. she makes the world a happy place.
We dropped little Tay off at preschool and went shopping. Afterwards we picked her up again (the 2 hours went by way to fast), went to lunch and then shopped a bit more.
I was sad to see her go, but so thankful they are coming back in July. Hooray! Tayler kept calling her Quinlyn. She was totally on one while Carolyn was here. Fun times!
Yesterday Sean and I had to teach the Missionary class. It's not Gospel Essentials, but it's a class that the bishopric invites 6-8 couples too. I'm so glad that he taught with me. He is so good at it! I think it went well. I was relieved to hear the 5 minute bell.

Saturday we chilled and then went to our "block party" It was fun and there was tons of yummy food. We have great neighbors. I am thankful that we decided to stay here for a while. I feel comfortable where I am at and like how my house is coming along.

I need to clean, clean, clean my house since we leave this Saturday to Mexico! I still can't believe how fast the time has come. I am sad to leave my kiddies for a week, but I know they will love having Grandma's and Grandpa here.

I hope that everyone had a good weekend. Hope that Ry and Steve had great birthdays.

Thursday Thrills

Happy Thursday to All!

Last night was a girls night out. It was so much fun. We ate at RUMBI Island Grill.. I was a first timer and it definitely won't be the last time I eat there- SO GOOOOOD! I loved it. Then we went and bummed around Target for a while. I found the cutest shirts for $3.98.. clearance baby!
Then it was movie time.. we went back to my friend Kirsten's house and watched The Family Stone. Good show.. made me cry. I think I was the only one that cried.. good times!

We also got our new leather chair for our loft yesterday.. very exciting!

Just talked to Jen.. she let me in on some good deals at JC Penney. I'll have to go and check that out. Thanks Jen!

Jules- I hope that you are having fun in Michigan. That seems too far away. Have a safe trip home (and stay)

Taylers new found love is Mary Poppins. Thanks Mom! She has watched it so much and she still cracks up and laughs to the point of tears.. so funny! She said to Sean "Daddy Mary Poppins sings so pretty doesn't she?" Her new found American Idol! Speaking of that.. goodbye Elliott. Predictions for who will win? I think Taylor Hicks will, but I am routing for Katherine. It will be interesting to see.

Tomorrow is Friday! Yippee. Love the weekends. Have a good one ya all!

Fun in the Sun

Our time in St. George was fun. We tried to be in or by the pool at all times. It was 99 degrees pretty much the whole weekend. Tayler loved being in the water and swimming. Rylee wasn't so fond of anything since she still didn't feel good. Yesterday on the drive home she finally started to perk up and then when we got home she was thrilled. It was a fun trip. I always love to get away and play with my family. Sean made me breakfast for Mothers Day.. and lunch- he is such a great husband and daddy. I love him!!!

Tayler and her friend Alex at the Pizza Factory.
Myself, Kirsten, and little Rylee (again at the Pizza factory)

The drive home was good. Tayler and Rylee watched DVD's on the little portable DVD player. Thank heavens for those!

Now I need to get ready for Cancun since we leave in 2 weekends. Crazy! It is going to be hard to leave my kiddos for a whole week, but I am excited to get away with just my hubby. We need some good 1 on 1 time. I need to practice up on my Spanish so that I can communicate if I need too.

Okay now for the TV run-down.....
Did anyone else watch the finale of Grey's Anatomy last night? LOVE that show!!! I hate that I have to wait until the Fall now. It was so good. I knew that Derek and Meredith would do something and that Denny would die.. SO SAD! I think I might watch it again just for fun.

And I am still in SHOCK from last weeks America Idol. I can't believe that Chris was voted off. What is wrong with America?!! Now I don't really care who wins. I hope that Chris still has a good career. My Mom and I were dumbfounded when they said "Chris the journey ends here"

Also Survivor?? I was soooo mad that Terri wasn't in the final 2. It totally bugged!

I am a complete TV junkie, but now the shows are over. I guess there are still 2 episodes of Alias left Can't wait for those. I was so happy to see that Vaughn was still alive.

My friend Carolyn comes into town tomorrow. I am excited to see that girl.

Hope that everyone had a great weekend.

We're Off

We are heading to St. George this weekend. It will be HOT, but so much fun by the pool. Tayler is so excited to go. She keeps saying "I went there with Meggy" I think she is a little confused about the place and the movie- Curious George. Cute girl.

I still have to pack and pack up the car, but I thought I would blog for a minute. Our computer upstairs isn't working so I still can't add pictures... I can't wait until that bad boy is fixed.

Wednesday we went out to Mom's and took out her new exercise bike. We couldn't get her off of it!! I wish I would have had my camera. I hope that she likes it. We went out to dinner at Applebees afterwards up in Tooele. Applebees is the only sit down diner option in Tooele. It was a fun night. I'm glad that we finally delivered the b-day present.

Our outside is almost finished. The cement on the side is poured and looks fabulous. (it's a lot of cement).. and the paver patio in the back is complete as well.. nice going Sean! The only thing left left to do is the sandbox. Can't wait for all the projects to be completed.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend and Happy Mothers Day!

Weekend

I think weekends come and go WAY too fast.

Friday- Sean and I went and watched the new Joseph Smith movie at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was amazing. Then we had time to go and eat at the Pantry before it closed at 8:00. I love that place. It brings back a lot of memories of when IHC was located downtown at Beneficial Life. Anyway.. it was a fun night!
Shantelle watched our kids and we came home to a sleeping Rylee and worn out Tayler who was ready for bed. It was great.

Saturday Sean started the paver patio in the back. It will look so good when it is finished. I called and got an estimate for concrete on the side of our house. We agreed upon the price and he is coming tomorrow to get it all ready!! Yippee!! I love when things get done. Now the side of our house won't be a big weed patch anymore, but a lovely RV pad. Can't wait. We've decided to do a sandbox on the side of the patio and then EVERYTHING is done in the yard. The place of the sandbox is where Sean wanted to do a pond, but I think we will do the sandbox instead. I think the kids will like that. Maybe in our next house we can make the pond idea come true.
We picked up Mom's exercise bike that we (and Jules) got her for her birthday. We need to take it out this week and let her try it out. I hope she likes it okay. I then dipped some more strawberries for my lesson yesterday. All in all it was a good day. Our neighbors brought us Cafe Rio for dinner so we all ate outside on our patio. I love not having to fix dinner. They had borrowed the truck so they wanted to buy dinner. It was nice of them and it was good company.

Yesterday Sean stayed home with Rylee and Tayler and I headed to Church. I had to teach Young Womens so I couldn't take Rylee. Sean had a touch of the stomach flu. After Church we came home fed Tayler and Rylee and took long naps. Love that.

Now I think I may have the stomach flu again, but I have to suck it up and go to work. I missed the gym this morning. Dang!! I'm only 3 pounds away from my goal!!
Only 3 weeks until Cancun.. Hooray!

Hope that everyone had a great weekend. Love you!

Strawberry Overload

Hello 2 All.. Happy Wednesday!

It has been rainy and wet all day. I have loved it. I went to J & J Nursery with my friend Gracelyn today. We missed the rain by 1/2 second. She needed the truck to haul all of her plants and shrubs and I wanted to buy flowers for my pot's outside on my porch. Sean always plants one little plant right in the middle that usually dies- so I gave it some spunk. What do you think? I should have taken a before picture. It was quite sad- bless Sean's heart. I hope that this creation doesn't die. I put Tayler in charge of watering them. I told her I would pay her a quarter a day if she would do it. I am pretty positive that she won't forget.. she remembers EVERYTHING!

So yesterday I went to Macey's and bought a case of Strawberries. It was only $7.99 while a little 1/2 carton was $2.59.. so I went with the case.
Well most people would make jam or something, but me.. I make 1,000 freakin' dipped strawberries.. Here's the proof (this is only half)

Needless to say I am putting plates together for neighbors, friends, my VT people, Sean's home teaching families, etc... good times!

I found out that my friend Susan is having another baby girl.. hooray for her!

I finally got a hair appt. for a cut and color next Friday.. hooray for me!

Have a great trip tomorrow Carolyn!

I just got beat by Tayler twice at Candy Land. I didn't even let her win.

Have a great night!!

Weekend Fun

Other than being a little sick.. it was a great weekend!

Friday Sean and I had a dinner to go to for the Davis School District Fundraiser that they have every year. SelectHealth (formerly IHC Health Plans) always sponsor a table so we went. It was good food and a nice night away-- except that I had the stomach flu. We had a girl from our ward come to babysit for us- we thought we would test the waters to see how it would be. She did really good and is a great girl, but I think Rylee cried the majority of the time. Part of that could be due to the fact that her loving sister "accidentally" slammed her head into the hard floor.. OOPS! Anyway.. all in all it was nice and Tayler was thrilled to have a babysitter come. She had to go with me to pick her up.

Saturday morning Sharla, Sean's sister, came and got Tayler to take her to a movie and lunch. She had her the whole afternoon which was so nice. Rylee and I went grocery shopping and then after I put her down for her nap, Sean and I tried to get the rest of the yard work finished. Sean is putting in pavers all along the patio to put the hose bib and barbecue on. It will look so much better when it is finished. He got it all dug out and got the gravel to fill it in- now he just has to put the sand in and then the pavers on top. Slowly but surely it is coming along. There are 2 people really interested in buying our house. We still are going back and forth on whether or not we want to sell it. I think I just want to take it off the forsale by owner website and be done with it. I like the area that we are in right now and think it is a good place to stay for a while. Anyway.. that night we hung out with our neighbors and then came home and crashed.

Sunday we had a rockin' party for Mom's birthday. Jared and Katie were in town too so it was fun to get to see them and have them here. They came up to our house so we had a big feast/barbecue- steaks and chicken! It was good. The rest of the time we just hung out and watched Jared entertain the kids :) We were going to play croquet, but never did! It was a great night. I loved it!! Always fun to have family here. Jules called to be a part of the festivities. Love ya J!

Mom's birthday pie.. Banana cream!!!

The 2 love birds (and my child)
Tayler's nap time! She was too excited for everyone to come before when she was in her bed trying to take a nap after church so she feel asleep on her daddy. Rylee loves her Grandma! This is apparently a new habit that Rylee "PICKED" up just yesterday. Gross Ry
Cheese!!!! (Notice mom's cute new hair-do!!)

Today was the typical work day. Nothing too exciting, but we did have FHE! We talked about the prophet Joseph Smith. Tayler actually stayed interested for quite a while, I was proud of her. Sean and I are going to go and see the new Joseph Smith movie this weekend at the JSM building. I am excited to see it. I have heard it is wonderful.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Loves to all.
