This weekend was a little crazy, but fun nonetheless. We took our car in Thursday night expecting to get it back Saturday, but NOPE it won't be done until Monday, so we all crammed in the Lexus. Totally illegal I know and SO uncomfortable to have 6 people in it, but we got where we had to go and didn't get pulled over.
I had to work Saturday, Tay had a soccer game, we had an Easter fun run/hunt with Sean's family and then Rylee had soccer pictures and then a soccer game. There were also a TON of things we needed to finish before we leave on our trip.
Here are the runners for the kids' fun run. They all did so good.
Tay ran her little heart out. She looked like a Kenyon. I tried to race her once (down our street not so long ago), and lost! Don't worry, I didn't let her win either.. she is that fast or I am that OLD. Jackson just went the wrong way altogether.
And Rylee ran her little heart out as well. She had to go run at her soccer game afterwards and still scored a goal again.
After everyone finished the race it was off to look for 100's of eggs that were hidden. Jayson wasted no time starting. Neither did Rylee
Tay's basket was so full she kept dropping them.
Jackson totally got the hang of it after a few minutes.
We came home bathed all the kids and put them in bed for the night. They were all filthy.
Here they are ready for the egg hunt in our living room this morning.
After the hunt.. Jackson trying to steal every one's candy.. even though he had plenty of his own.
We dumped all of the candy into one big bowl and HOLY cow, I think we have more candy than we did for Halloween. After breakfast, everyone got into their new Easter clothes.
(Jayson can't ever look at the camera.. little stinker!)
Sean had candy in his mouth...
My girls
After Church, Sean sat the kids down to teach them the REAL meaning of Easter. One of the things he said was: " We get to see Grandpa Linton again and give him big hugs because of the wonderful gift that Jesus provided to us" Such an amazing blessing indeed. It made me a little choked up. I am so eternally grateful for the sacrifice and gift we are ALL given no matter what. I can't imagine the heartbreak thinking that after this life it is the end. I am blessed.
I hope that everyone had an amazing weekend.
