Happy Friday

Happy Friday Everyone! I actually went grocery shopping last night to Walmart at 11:00 p.m. It was good times with all the boxes everywhere (I guess that is their re-stocking time), but I have to say it was nice with no kids. Why I went that late I'm not sure, but I saw 2 people from my ward. I'm glad that I didn't go today because Rylee took a super long nap while Tayler was at her birthday party so I got my blinds cleaned. That is not a fun task, but just knowing that they are clean makes me feel so much better. I woke my kids up early and went to the gym. They both didn't want to leave the day care today. It looks like Rylee is finally getting used to it!

Aubree, Tay's little friend, had her Cowboy party today. They painted horses and boots and then had cowboy hats and bandanas and a little goodie bags. Her mom always is way too creative and does such an awesome job at everything she does!
Here's some pictures from the birthday bash...

Tayler kept saying "cowboys rule" in a southern drawl..

Tonight is my mission reunion in Murray. I am excited to see all my friends again. It has been a long time!

Sean was gone to a meeting last night so the girls and I hit the mall.. and of course stopped off a Chick-fil-A...YUM! I found some cute clothes for them at the Children's Place.

Happy Conference weekend to all. Love staying in my p.j.'s on Sunday and just relaxing with my family! Can't wait. I think Sean is getting Bronchitis again. Poor guy, he has a rough go with that.

Loves and Hugs to all.

Rainy Days

This is the picture for the day! Yesterday while Tayler was playing with her friend Alex they decided to play dress-up. Well the "dress-up" that Tayler is wearing is her blessing dress. What 3 1/2 year old should still be able to wear her blessing dress (which at the time wasn't big on her or anything..) and get it buttoned up in the back. Maybe she will be able to wear her baptism dress when she gets married! I thought it was funny. She said it was too tight on her arms but other than that it fit like a charm. What a goof!

We just got back from play group over at the Church. I usually don't go, but this one was a potluck lunch and I love to eat food so we went. Tayler wanted to make cookies to take so we made homemade Oreo's this morning. They turned out good. I think I've already downed 4 or 5. Now Rylee is asleep and Tayler is playing over at her friend Kinsey's, AHHH.. the piece and quiet. I should go and clean my messy house, but I think I will just relax and read a book. (I hope no one is choking right now..) YES! I do read books sometimes.

We woke up to pouring rain and it is still raining hard off and on. I love these kind of days. I should make some soup for dinner. I need to go find my fuzzy socks and a good blanket. Hope everyone is doing well!

Monday Madness

Here is a photo of my hubby! His hair doesn't look that different in the pictures, but it is good lookin!

I went to the gym this morning even though I was sooo sore from Saturday. It felt good so I'm glad that I still went. I came home and showered then hurried and got ready, then went and picked up Tay at preschool. They are on the letter "V" so they made visors. So cute!

Now I am making my kidlets lunch and will head out to work in a few minutes. Fun days! But of course while the pizza is cooking I have time to blog quickly.

Now I am home again! We went to see Grandpa Behling today. I just have to say that he looks pretty dang remarkable for an 86 year old man that just had open heart surgery. He is a great man and I'm glad that we went by to see him. Rylee LOVED him. She kept trying to give him kiss after kiss after kiss. Very sweet! I asked him how he was feeling and if he was in a lot of pain still and he told me that he has not felt any pain throughout the whole ordeal. Isn't that something! It was a good visit.

We almost bought a boat this weekend. A man was selling one for $5500 and it was in mint condition with a new engine. We almost made an offer over the weekend, but decided to wait a few more years. I can't wait until we actually get one- that will be a great day.

Stories

I had to chuckle at things that Tayler has said lately. It cracks me up that they have a sense of humor and can actually joke back with you. Their minds seem so young to be able to comprehend that, but I guess they aren't! One night Tayler refused to eat her dinner and she was crying and of course I was thinking of something to "threaten her with or take away" and then she said this:

"I don't care if I can't have friends come over anymore
I don't care if I can't go to Lagoon
I don't care if I can't play with my dress-ups
I don't care if I can't have candy
I don't care if I can't go to Disneyland...and on and on and on."

It was so funny to me. Obviously I have "threatened" her with many things and last night she listed them all off one by one back to me. I couldn't stop laughing.

Then an AHHH so tender moment... When I was doing her hair in the bathroom I was singing the song "Ria Ria Ronca" (sorry I have no idea how that is spelled or really goes for that matter).. Anyway, Tayler said "mom that is the song that Grandpa sings to us" I said yep it sure is and then she said "does my other Grandpa in heaven sing it too?" and of course I got a little chocked up and said "I think he probably does." Then out of the blue she said "mommy did you cry when your daddy went to heaven?" I explained to her that I cried a lot and still do sometimes. I then said "it's just like if your daddy went to heaven" and she looked at me very seriously and said "mom, can we not say that word anymore. I don't want to talk about that." She really does understand things. Such a sweet little girl. She loves her Daddy sooo much.

Rylee took a tumble down Sean's parents drive-way. She was a tough little cookie though. She only cried for a minute and then was happy again. Poor thing. She had a HUGE goose egg and cut, but it is healing now!

Yesterday we put the kids in the daycare at the gym, and Sean and I went and worked out together. It was so fun. He helped me with weights and boy am I SORE! He was a great personal trainer. He worked me hard, but it felt good. Then we promised Tay that we would take her to the park so we went over to the Duck park by Layton High School. It was fun until it became dark and cloudy and looked like it would rain. Then, my neighbor Kirsten cut Sean's hair last night! He had decided that he needed a different style so she did it really short on the sides and spiky on the top. I should take a picture. He looks like a hottie! It is very trendy.

Grandpa came home from the hospital/rehab center yesterday! I am going to go and visit him this week no matter what. I have been horrible for not going, but since he is home now it will be a lot easier. Mom says that he is looking and doing well. Hooray for that. Mom came up yesterday to get the baby monitors to take back to G & G's. The care-givers who sleep downstairs need them. It was good to see her and chat with her. She looked cute with her hair back in a little tie thingy! Such a cute lady.

I hate when the weekends come to an end, but I love Sunday and nap time and I think my kids are getting to that point so we will all go and snooze for a while. I had to do the music in Nursery today. It was quite fun to listen to myself sing. The kids were cute and seemed entertained so all is well.

Decision Made

Sean has decided not to pursue the Farmers path. He finally made his decision and it seems to have lifted the world off of his shoulders. I am so glad that he has decided. He seems like a whole new person without that pressure and we are LOVING having him home at nights again. It's nice!!

My 2nd day of work is today! Sean's dad (Grandpa Tom) is going to watch my girls each time. I am so grateful for that. It seems so easy and I don't have to worry about anything. I hope to be able to get them to sleep while they are there since it is their naptime- that would make it really easy.

Tayler is having such a hard time staying in her room at night. She is afraid to be in there alone. We let her sleep with us (on a mattress next to our bed), but I don't want it to become a habit. We have considered putting Rylee in there and making Rylee's room into the playroom/toy room. Last night she was convinced that spiders were in her bed. Poor girl. I guess it is a phase too! We'll see how it goes.

Happy Thursday to all!

Love Easy Off Bam

This is now my newest friend! I have a white gas stove-top and have not been able to find anything to get it clean. Well after one soaking overnight my stove top looks awesome. I should have taken a before and after shot. Anyway.. I think after one more soak it should look new and in tip top shape. I should get paid for this advertisement :)

Today we have Taylers little friend Aubree for 5 hours. (I have her come and play every Wednesday to give Heidi a break). Her and Tayler play well together for a while and then have kind of a hard time the rest of the afternnon. I totally love Heidi and appreciate her doing pre-school so it's the least I can do.

In this picture they were getting married. Funny little girls- can you guess who the bride is??

I get to go with the missionaries tonight at 7:30. They are teaching a 20 year old girl in our ward boundaries. It should be a fun experience.

I went to the gym today and worked out for an hour! It felt so good. I need to get my bootie in shape for summer and swimming suits! Cancun is a good motivator as well. Hope that you are all having a great week. Love you!

1st day of Spring??

I love that we woke up to snow this morning and it was suppose to be the first day of Spring! Oh well.. at least it melted off of our driveway quickly. I can't wait for it to warm up. I love to go on walks and to the park with my kids. It is so nice to get out of the house and go play. It also wears the kids out which is a total bonus! I love it when they take long naps.

Tayler had a sleep over with her cousin Asha on Saturday night. They have such a great time together. I wish that her other cousins lived closer too. Hopefully one day :) Anyway.. she loves to take her Strawberry Shortcake suitcase that Grandma Linton gave to her for her birthday. This picture cracks me up because it looks like she is praying or has to go to the bathroom, but when she "previewed" it she said it was her "excited" smile. Such a funny little girl. Saturday I went to the gym and when I came home both Rylee and Tayler were dressed and bathed AND Tayler's hair was done. I was so impressed with my hubbies hair doing abilities. He braided it and put a scrunchy in it. Pretty impressive huh? I thought so! I guess all of the things I try to teach him are really paying off. What a stud.

Last night we had the Neville's over for dinner! It was yummy and I made some rolls that were pretty good. I should have taken a picture, but I forgot and now they are all gone. Tayler and her pal Rozelyn sat on her little table from her room. This morning Tayler begged me to keep it in the kitchen so that she and Rylee could eat on it. They both loved it so I think I will leave it for a while.

I started work at IHC today. I am doing the Grievance committee again. I get to sit on the committee as the "consumer rep." It's truly the greatest job. All I have to do is sit there and listen and they pay really well. It is such a no-brainer. I can't believe it has been 14 months since I was there last. The girl that took my place when I had Rylee had her baby today so I took her place again. I love it and the break for a few hours every Monday and Thursday will be nice (not to mention the extra cash). I am excited about it.

Sean is still trying to decide if Farmers is the best thing for him and our family. I think the hold up is me- which is true. It is such a scary risk to take, but I think he would be awesome at it because he is such a hard worker and would do whatever it took to make ends meet. I need to support him 100% and just have him go for it.

I just want to say "THANKS" to all those who comment on my blog. It makes me feel so good. And all of those that just read it too!

Happy Green Day!!

I am so out of it!! I just found out that it was St. Patricks Day. My neighbors little girl was dressed from head to toe in green and I still didn't get it.. HELLO!

Things are going well here. I stopped taking my pain meds because they made me a bit loopy. Now I am pretty sore, but it's okay because I have control. I hated the feeling of not having control. I felt like I could just fall asleep wherever. "May cause drowsiness".. ummm. yep it did.

Tayler just took this picture for me. Pretty good. It's a little fuzzy, but now you can see my chipmunk cheeks. Love it. I give her an a+ for even getting me in the picture!! I remember on my mission, some of my pictures didn't even have the person in it.. or the head was cut off. Those were my favorites.

Tonight we are having a barbeque with some friends. It is suppose to rain and snow, but that's okay we'll pretend it's warm. I love barbeque food. Too bad I won't get to eat any of it. Maybe I can work on one chip and see if it takes me the whole night to get it down.

I hope that everyone has a great weekend! My brother Brent is in town for the B-ball games at the Huntsman center. Maybe I'll get to see him?! I think Sean and his buddies from work are at Iggy's watching some games. Let March Madness begin.

I am so excited for all of my trips coming up! I think I am totally spoiled. I have a great hubby. First I am going to Phoenix with Mom for a few days, then Sean and I are going to Cancun with some friends the end of May and then we get to take the girls and go to San Diego the first part of June. I better be tan by the end of all of those trips! :) Should be fun. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Loves and Hugs to you all.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I had to go and get my wisdom teeth out at 8:00 a.m. What a yucky thing to wake up early for! I thought that it would be pretty easy since it was only the top 2 they were doing and they are (were) down already, but no no complications had to arise! The first one came out relatively easy, but the left one was a problem. Apparently the 2 little hook things on the top of the wisdom tooth were pointing the opposite way they had originally thought and so when they pulled it out those two little hooks broke off. They had to drill up into the bone for several minutes (it seemed like hours) to find them. Needless to say I am going to be super swollen and bruised and in a lot of pain. Oh goodie! He gave me Perkiset to take and I refused at first the Rx but he said oh you will need it for sure for that left side. The anesthetic is starting to wear off and I'm glad I got them. It's pretty intense. I think they drilled clear up to my nose. Anyway.. glad that is over. Now the next week few days will be a joy! I wish Sean was home, but he had a huge presentation today so I am flying solo!

Other news-- little Tayler may be in the newest IHC commercial. Sean called me at 2:16 yesterday (I had just come in from grocery shopping) and told me that they were doing auditions down at the Triad center (KSL building) and should take her in- I had until 3:30 do get there. We hurried and got her hair curly and cute and headed out. It was a headache, but I'm glad that we did it. She went into "hair and make-up" first and then into "wardrobe", but they left her clothes on that I had taken her in because she looked so cute. When she got up onto stage and they did the filming she had stage fright-BAD. She was silly in a couple of places, but we will see if any footage works and if they want to use her for the commercial. She totally made $150 though!! I had no idea they would pay her. I told her I would take her to McDonalds and mom would take the rest and not tell Dad :) Just kidding!
All of the people at the studio thought she was darling. They tried to get her to say her name while filming, but she decided she forgot what it was. I tried to get her to be her jovial little self and so I said.."Tay, tell them what you did for your 3rd birthday party." She did and then I said "what was your horses name?" "Bandit" she replied, then I said "what did the horse call you?" she giggled and said "mom (rolling her eyes) horses can't talk silly girl" It was pretty funny. Everyone laughed.
We'll see if anything comes out of it, but it was fun to be there and make $150. Not bad for a 2 hour event.

Well I am feeling a bit light-headed now so I best stop writing before I can't see anymore.

Happy Wednesday! Happy Snow Day!

Weekend Update

I hate that the weekends can come and go so quickly. I always look so forward to them and then it is back to the work week before you can blink.

Quick recap:

Friday night we had some friends over (The Hansens- Maria, Cory and little Audree). Sean made his yummy pizza for us. It was a fun night. The kids laughed and played so it was good. Asha had a sleep over that night as well so we had one extra child. Tayler loves to have sleep overs. She is going through the "scared" phase where she doesn't want to sleep alone in her room so she was thrilled to have someone in there with her.

Saturday was Asha's big birthday party so I took them back up to her house and then went shopping with Rylee. It would have been a lot more fun if I had felt better, but I was pretty sick with stomach stuff so it wasn't that great. It was a few hours of free time though so I can't complain. Rylee and I went to Ross in Ogden and managed to spend the whole 2 hours in just that store. I bought some pants without trying them on first.. big mistake. Too small so back they will go. Then it was temple night, but I stayed home with the kids. Sean represented us though. I didn't feel very good still and we didn't have a babysitter so I stayed home. They said it was a great turnout so I wish I would have been there--65 from just our ward. Pretty good!

Today was a normal Sunday. We woke up to snow again so Sean hurried out and shoveled the walks and then helped feed the girls breakfast. Of course the wake up alarm for the girls was Sean singing "Oh rise and shout the Cougars are out.." He pushes both doors open and starts singing at the top of his lungs. I think that is the highlight of his week. I have decided that 9:00 church is hard to get up for, but way easier to get there on time. We have actually made it on time more for the 9:00 block then we did for 1:00 church.. go figure?! I love to come home and take naps too!! I talked to Mom this afternoon. She has been with Grandma this whole weekend and pretty much all off last week too. I'm sure she is a tired lady! Way to go Mom.

My two little peas in a pod are great. Rylee loves to follow Tayler around wherever she goes. Everyday when Rylee wakes up from her nap she heads right in to Taylers room to wake her up too. She gets so mad if I shut the door so that she can't get in . She sits by the door crying and pounding on it. That was the scene this afternoon until I finally opened the door and let her go in. She was so happy and just laughed and laughed to go see Tay. I put her boots on and let her go outside with Sean to finish shoveling the snow since it has finally stopped. She loved it. She kept putting her hands in it and saying "hot hot" -- not quite, one day we will get that. I love them! They are great little kids.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Loves and hugs to all.

Snowy Day!

We woke up to a ton of snow this morning so we decided to stay in bed and watch cartoons! We even had breakfast in bed. When I came back up from the kitchen I found these two snuggled together. Tayler said "she can lay on my shoulder if she wants too." So cute! Rylee stayed cuddled there for a while and then started smacking her lips which meant she was ready to eat.

I love that I don't have to go anywhere. I wanted to go and visit my Grandpa today, but I don't want to drive on slick scary roads clear out to St. Marks. The surgery went well and he seems to be getting better each day! I'm so glad. I think that would be so scary! I'm scared to have my wisdom teeth out next Wednesday so I can't even imagine having open heart surgery! We will continue to pray for him until he is fully recovered. What a tough Grandpa I have.

Rylee called everyone all day yesterday. She would find the Winnie-the-Pooh cell phone and walk around saying "hi" all day. It even had to go night-night with her.

Last night we had a Hawaiian Luau for our Enrichment activity. It was tons of fun and the best part is-- I didn't have to do anything! It was great. We had hawaiian haystacks and lemonade and 2 chocolate fountains with everything you can imagine to dip. It was Yum!! I love free dinners and no kids :) Sean was suppose to go into Farmers to do some calls, but instead he came home so that I wouldn't have to worry about putting them in the nursery and hoping they would stay there. Love him. It was a fun night.

Just Chilin'

Prayers for my Grandpa B. today! He is having open heart surgery as we speak. I pray that everything goes well. The doctors were confident so that makes it a little easier. We will just have to wait and see. Mom and almost all her brothers and sisters are at the hospital.

Last night for FHE Tayler taught the lesson. It was so great. She had an envelope with pictures inside and taught what each one was. There was Jesus getting baptized, the Sacrament, etc. I was a proud mom.

Yesterday in preschool, her teacher Heidi, told me afterwards that she wanted to share something for show and tell. She stood up and told how her daddy took her to Curious George (the movie) with her cousin Meghan. Afterwards she said "I just love my daddy so much." She really does love him. They have a special little bond. It was cute!!

Mom and I booked a trip to Phoenix over her Spring Break. We are going to go and bask in the sun for a few days. Can't wait!! I need some sun!

I just found out that we are having a Mission Reunion the end of this month in Murray. That should be fun.

Not much to report or write about. Life is calm this week which is nice. Last week I had to watch kids every single day. It wasn't the funnest, but at least it's over!! It seems a lot easier though with just my two!! Tonight is Tay's last tumbling class. She said "that is very sad isn't it?" I'll take some more pictures tonight to see the improvement!!

Have a great day!!

I love Friday!

I have been without Internet for a whole day and a half now!! It's so hard. I can't believe how much I rely on it for things! Anyway.. we are back up and running now so all is well.

Wednesday night Grandma Linton came to visit and have a sleep over! Tayler was so excited. They played and read stories together and we tried to watch American Idol. When Sean came home at 9:15 he skipped the gym and we went and saw "Firewall" instead. It was so fun (and a good movie!). I think there were 8 of us in the whole theater. I guess people don't go to the "late show" on weekdays. It was nice to see my hubby since I don't get to so often these days! Thanks mom.
On our way home we discovered that the truck had a flat tire! It still isn't fixed. Sean really doesn't have any time to do it. Thursdays are his super long days so he didn't get home until 10:30 p.m. He went out at 6 a.m. this morning and worked on it, but gave up at 7:30 and hurried into work.

I have been stranded for 2 days now, but the double stroller is getting used so that's a plus I guess. The kids and I went to the park today and yesterday. It was so fun. Rylee can cruise up the stairs, over the bridge, up some more stairs and onto the big slide. It surprised me! I have to keep my eye on her. Today was super windy so it wasn't that enjoyable. We took a picnic lunch, but we could barely eat it because everything kept blowing away. At least we got some fresh air.

While we were waiting for Grandma to come Tayler wanted to ride her bike and play outside. The leaves kept Rylee entertained while I helped Tay on her bike. She is doing so well.

This week while Tayler was on time out I went into her bedroom to talk to her about why she went to time out and she was reading her Book of Mormon reader. It was the cutest thing! She said.. "this person is getting baptized by Alma" I guess she does pay attention! It was a proud moment.

Hope you all have a great weekend!
