Pumpkin Carving Action

Ahh, pulling out the guts. The pumpkins were out on our porch from last night so the kids were saying that they were "FREEZING"... I tested it out and they were partly frozen. Crazy weather.
Jayson totally got into the "gut" pulling. He loved it!

After about an hour and a half all 3 kiddos had their pumpkins carved and were thrilled with the results. I did the "Witch" for Tayler and Sean did the "Haunted House" for Rylee and the "crazed Wow Wow Wubbzy" for Jayson (just kidding- it just looked like that since he is still so addicted to that silly show). I think they all turned out pretty good!

Here is Jayson's pumpkin
Tayler's Witch (usually Sean picks this one for ME!) :)

And last but not least, Rylee's Haunted House

Anyway, now to get the costumes ready for Saturday. Not that it matters since they will be under their big winter coats- I could just dress them in their regular clothes! Did Halloween sneak up on anyone else this year? Man, I can't believe that October is coming to an end already. Pretty soon Thanksgiving will be here!
It snowed pretty hard this morning. It was beautiful to watch in my big front room windows. Rylee was bummed that she couldn't build a snowman. I kept telling her that she would have plenty of opportunities in the near future, she settled for hot chocolate for lunch.
I had a visit with my Dr. for the baby today. Everything seems to be going well and everything is right on track. I asked him if I could keep running even though my feet seem to be swelling more and he said I was fine to keep going. It really does make me feel so much better. Right now I am just enjoying feeling the baby move around. This will probably be my last pregnancy so I am trying to just enjoy it to the best of my ability- the good and the bad.
Time to go clean up some pumpkin guts. Loves to all!

crazy eight

Eight years ago today, I made a pretty stellar decision to marry a very awesome man and I'm so glad that I did. I can't imagine life any other way. He takes such good care of me.
In the 8 years we've been married we have had *almost* 4 kids (we're getting there), moved 4 times, worked together in the same office, played together, climbed some pretty big mountains, cried together, seen each other at our worst, and YET we are still smiling and lovin' life. My love just keeps growing more & more each day for my man. Love you babe!

dAy FaRm FuN

Today for FHE we headed over to Day Farms for the hayride and picking of PUMPKINS! The kids had a blast. It was a tad bit chilly, but thankfully we had 1 more day in the 60's to get our pumpkins before we see snow and drop into the 40's. Afterwards we warmed our tummy's at Applebee's for dinner. Love hangin' out with my crew. Here's some pictures of our evening adventures! Tomorrow will be the carving party.

Funny Jayson

This past Sunday at dinner Jayson refused to eat his dinner (which he does just about every day- little stinker) so Sean sent him to time out until he could be a big boy and eat his dinner with the rest of us. Well, this is how we found him in time out, sound asleep. Is there anything sweeter? I cuddled him for a minute since he won't really let me do that anymore. I sure love my little dude. I can't wait to meet his brother in a couple months.

Church from 1-4 doesn't help much with tired, ornery little kids. We switch to the 9-12 schedule in 2 weeks because our new building is DONE. That will be a very welcomed change. Hallelujah!

So I am finally going to decorate the "boys" room. I really haven't done anything in Jayson's room since we moved in, and then when I found out I was pregnant I thought I would wait to find out what the next baby would be and then go to town. Now that we know it is another little boy, I am going to do it in the theme of old airplanes and/or cars. I found these 2 bedding ensembles and I'm not sure which one I like better. The first one would match the wall colors better, but the second one would too (just in a different way)... Just curious which one you would pick? We have found the old airplanes at Ti Pan Trading that we will hang from the ceiling. I think it will be pretty cute when it is all done.

Went to the gym again today. I bought myself a gym membership so that I didn't feel so gross & HUGE. It is only 5 minutes from our house and is only $10 a month and the 1st hour of day care is free (for 2 kids). Not to shabby eh? It is perfect and my kids don't mind going to play for an hour while I run. I have run 2.5 - 3 miles every time and then do some weights. It makes me feel so much better. I hope I can keep it up if the baby doesn't mind being bounced a little :)

Randomness..

I am not sure where I have been lately, but I will attempt to do some catch-up. Saturday Tayler had a soccer game at 1:00 so I was able to make it from work. It was fun to see her in action. I thought it would be warm at her game, but it was a bit chilly. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa D. for coming to her game. She did awesome and ran hard, just look at those rosy cheeks. Sean has been practicing a lot with her lately and she is doing great! This year the team plays 7 on 7 with a goalie and they all are assigned positions so it has been a little bit different and taken some time to get used to. At the start of the 3rd quarter Tayler was out resting, but one of the other girls got hurt so they said "Tayler we need you, you will play full-back" She jumped up, said alright and started to run out on the field and then turned around and said "wait, what's that again?" So cute! I love that she wants to do what the coaches ask and be where she needs to be for her team. She has one more game left next week and then it will be over until the Spring.
Rylee giving us a thumbs up for Tay.
I love to hear Jayson yell for Tayler at the games. He squats down with his hands on his thighs and yells "go Tay-Tay, go" repeated about a million times (i'm not kidding). He is one crazy kid.

Good ol' #6

Little action shot..
Friday was Sharla's birthday (Sean's youngest sister) so we celebrated her birthday at PF Changs. It was SOOOO good. We spent WAY too much money, but our bellies were all full and very satisfied. Thanks for having a birthday Sharla. In Sean's family they have birthday's on the 6th (Sean's), 9th (Sharla's) and 12th (Shelly's). October was a busy month for his mom! It's fun to celebrate.

Grandma and Grandpa
I hate this picture with my double chin- but I think Sean looks good!
The birthday girl

Other randomness....Jayson and Rylee have been such great buddies lately. They have their moments, but all in all they really do the cutest things and play together all day long. It is fun to watch.
The other day, they pulled out the Elmo couch to watch their show together. Can you see their reflection in the fire place. Jayson was as close to Rylee as he possibly could be. Such cuties.
Hangin' out in the cart and the grocery store. I will pull these pictures out in a few year and show them both that they really did love each other :))

I am loving the cooler weather and fall like air. It's always fun when the season changes and you have a little more bounce in your step. I am SO not ready for the snow however. Luckily, we haven't had any yet (knock on wood).
Hope your days are good too. Hugs!

happy, HaPpY birthday

I just wanted to wish my handsome husband a very HAPPY birthday today! He is wonderful in every way and perfect for me and that is all that matters. I love his zeal for life. He is always working on something new and excels in everything he does. He is a terrific father and his kids adore him. I feel very lucky to have him in my life to help make myself a better person too. Hope your day is magical babe!

Love you lots! XOXOX
