Days gone by..

It always seems like time goes by so quickly. This week has been BUSY (the first 2 days with watching kids each day, one day the kids came at 6:00 a.m.) but yesterday and today have been great. I went with my friend Brittney to lunch yesterday and then did some shopping. The kids were tired by the time we got home so it was nighty-night for them!

We found this great place called Day Farms where you can pick your own tomatoes, bell peppers, jalapenos, tomatillos, etc. for 20 cents a pound. They also have peaches, onions, corn, peas, etc. to buy (for cheap). The girls thought it was fun to sit in the back of the truck and go down the bumpy dirt roads. The actual farm is HUGE!! It's amazing that I didn't' even know it existed and it's only a mile from our house. I love that there are still some places like that. Everyone is selling their land to get LOTS & LOTS of money from developers and seriously who wouldn't?

They also had big pumpkin patches which will be fun in a month or so. I love when summer winds down and fall comes. I HATE the cold and snow, but I love the holidays and fun times that come with it.

I found out that my friend Rachel is having another Girl.. Congratulations! It's so fun to have new babies. I don't know if I will ever be ready for #3. I like how things are right now. Especially with Sean in school now! Maybe someday it will hit me.

I hope that everyone has a splendid weekend! Hooray for Labor Day- I love 3 day weekends. That means the start of FOOTBALL in my house though.. oh goodie! :)

Loves to All.

Happy 100th blog post to me

Isn't that cool.. 100 posts? I know many others are FAR FAR past that, but I thought it was cool.

Anyway.. our weekend was good! Saturday we went to Lagoon around 7:00 thinking that it wouldn't be crowded.. yeah right! It was packed and the lines to every ride were so long. It was a bit annoying, but I guess that's how it goes when it's only open on Sat. and Sun. now! The girls still had fun and rode a few rides so that's all that matters.

Here are a few pictures from the evening

Sunday was a good day! We actually made it to Church again on time (with 5 minutes to spare no less) I was quite impressed. I guess if you really do prepare Saturday night things go a lot smoother. We watched Emma for Shelly while they went to their meetings. Tayler loved it and was so cute with her. Rylee also loved her (a little too much :) It was fun! Afterwards our home teachers came and then some friends came for dinner.

Today has been a day of watching kids and tomorrow won't be any different. Service is good, but it's exhausting.

Sean starts school tomorrow. Oh boy, here we go. I hope that everything goes well.

Have a good week everyone!

Thursday was Tayler's last dance class for this season. She starts next Tues. at 9:30 a.m. in her new class. She seems to really enjoy it so I'm glad. Of course Sean is pushing hard to get her into soccer and other sports, but she missed the deadline to play soccer for this year by a few weeks.. seriously, who makes the stupid deadlines? I want her to take a gymnastics class to see how she does because she is ALWAYS climbing up, over, & around everything. She must be part monkey somewhere down the gene pool.. HMMMM???

Friday Sean had the day off because he worked sooo much this last week. We headed out to Mom's to do some Dunroe Yard Care. Next weekend (or sometime in the near future) we are going to power rake and seed. It needs to be about 80 degrees to do it, so we'll see. We took Tayler's Barbie Jeep and bike so the kids were entertained. They were sad to not see Grandma again. When we got home around 4:30 we did our yard work so now everything is tip top. I love to get things accomplished! For dinner Sean was in the mood for a BBQ so we had hamburgers and corn on the cob (Tayler's favorite food group). Yum.

This morning Sean headed out to Weber State for an orientation. I can't believe that he will be in school now. Every Tues. and Thurs. will be long days! (especially for him). I think he is pretty excited though. He could possibly have 2 Masters degrees in 3 years. Pretty cool!

Now my little gremlins are running wild. I better go do something productive and get them breakfast. Loves to all.

Happy Birthday Carolyn

Happy Birthday to my dear friend Carolyn! I hope that you have a wonderful day my friend. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and I love her tons! She is great at everything she does and has been such a great friend for years. Sean and I give her the credit for bringing us together. Many happy wishes today for you my friend. I hope you get spoiled rotten :)!!
So yesterday we went to Lagoona Beach for a few hours. When we came home Tayler slept for almost 4 hours and Rylee slept for 3. We must have worn them out well. I love that- playtime and naptime!!
Monday night my friend Gracelyn called and asked me if I wanted to bring everyone over for dinner because she had made way to much food. I had just started thinking about making something so of course I jumped on the chance (anything to not make dinner). We enjoyed a fun evening outside on their patio. I love having good friends in our neighborhood.

So Proud

Tayler gave her first talk today in Primary and did such an awesome job. She has done the prayer and scripture but not the talk. She told the story about Nephi building the boat and sailing to America with his family. It was so cute!! Sean helped her so I just came in and sat to listen. She has no fear and charged right up there and talked right into the microphone. I loved it!

This weekend was fun and mostly relaxing. Friday we went out to dinner at Applebee's (just our little family) and then came home and put both girls to bed because they were exhausted. Rylee fell asleep in her high chair eating a krispy kreme donut. After the kids were in bed, Sean and I watched "Harry Potter" and just had some alone time. It was nice to sit on the couch and cuddle with no little one's running around crazily :) That hasn't happened in a while.

Saturday Sean made us a yummy breakfast and we did some chores. I went to the gym and man am I sore. It's not good to take time off because when you go back.. holy moly!
We had a family reunion with Sean's Dad's side of the family down in Riverton. First, we went out to my moms house to spray weeds again, but sadly she wasn't there. Tayler was a little bummed, but at least I prepared her by telling her that Grandma might not be there beforehand. She drew her a picture so all was well. Now, we will do one more spray for weeds and then power rake and seed her lawn. I can't wait until it is green and lush again. Sean is determined that it will so I have full confidence.

The family reunion was fun. We ate and then they had lots of games for the kids. We got home around 10:30 and all went to bed. This morning we were actually on time for Church. (the prelude music was still going when we got there.. miracles do happen- even at 9:00 a.m.!)

It has been a nice day. I can't wait until it cools down a little to go on a walk. I love Sunday walks.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Just Playin' Around

Yesteday grievance was cancelled so I took the girls to Lagoon with my friend Kim and her 2 kiddies. We had a great time, but it was still super hot. I am sad that the season is almost over. Of course we can still go on weekends until Halloween, but it seemed to have gone WAY too fast.

Then it was tubby time and bed time!!
I had to make a run to Walmart at 10:30 for diapers. I hate when you run out and have NONE in the house. Not a good thing! It was actually nice to be there by myself. It doesn't happen often.

This morning I decided to go and get the girls pictures taken. They turned out pretty stinkin' cute. I found dresses at a children's clothing store that is going out of business. I love to find deals. I swore that I would never go back to Kiddie Kandids, but the girl that I love was there and she did a fabulous job.
Tayler loves chick-fil-A (oddly enough??) so I told her if she smiled pretty and didn't pitch a fit she could eat there for lunch. Well she did great, but of course I couldn't let them eat there (not in their dresses) so we brought it home. She was so hungry and so excited to finally eat.
This is a picture of one of the pictures taken.. I really need to see how our scanner works. Anyway.. it gives you an idea.
It was fun! Now they are both sound asleep. Have a great weekend everyone!

So You Think You Can Dance...

I am so sad that the show is over now, but so happy that Benji won! I let out a scream or two.. I'll admit it. I really thought that Travis might win and then I would have been a little disappointed, but alas Benji came through.

We had a ton of pizza stuff left from the night before so we invited the Neville's and Pratt's over to watch the finale with us. (Pratt's ended up not being able to come), but we still had a fun time.

Can't wait for a new season! Until then.... we will have a little "So You Think You Can Dance" going on of our own!

Tayler is still loving her dance class and her teacher is so proud of her for being the ONLY one to do some of the tricks (mostly power-up's) Yesterday when I went to pick her up she couldn't tell me enough how she is the only one that can do them and how no one else is really close to yet (except for Tayler) so she makes her do them over and over to show the class because the teacher doesn't like to do them (they are actually hard to do).
Way to go little Tay.

Last Night's shindig

Since yesterday was Tayler's official birthday we had the family party last night. Sean made pizza's for everyone so it was very tasty and fun. Grandma Linton came at 5:30 which Tayler was thrilled about. She had been waiting all day for a knock on the door. I was also excited because I made her cut the olives and onions. Thanks MOM!! (I hope you have a great day back at school today).

We ate pizza, salad, cake and ice cream and then Tayler opened more presents. She is one spoiled chiquita! She loved every minute of it.

Thank you to all who called and wished her a happy birthday and sent cards and gifts. I know she is only 4 but she really does appreciate those things. She is much older in her little body. She loved for me to say "Tayler the phone is for you" She would get the biggest grin and then ask "who is it?" Anyway.. Thanks for making her feel so special and loved.
After the party she went with her cousin Asha to have a sleep over. I missed her and actually didn't want to let her go, but she was too excited about it so I had to. She will always say to me..."mom I will be home tomorrow, it's not that long." I really do love her.

Rylee loved playing with all of Tayler's toys last night after she was gone. She thought she was queen of the castle. There was no one to take anything away from her.

All in all it was a great night! The shindigs are now over.. HOORAY. I think we celebrated her birthday pretty good.

Yesterday I took her to lunch and she got a Happy Meal (surprise surprise) and I said "Tay this is your Happy Birthday Meal" but I was soon corrected when she said "it's not.. it's my Happy Birthday Happy Meal.. you forgot one Happy!"

And she's growing up...

Happy Birthday to my sweet little Tayler..

I actually tear up a little bit when I think about how much I love her and how very grateful I am for her. She is such a blessing in our lives and has definitely been a shining star in my eyes.

I love how she thanks me everyday for the littlest things.

I love the way she says " I love you" many times a day.

I love the way she treats and takes care of Rylee.

I love that she is always willing to help.

I love the way she gives hugs and still wants to cuddle.

I love the way she loves her Daddy. She is always so excited to see him and can't wait to go to the BYU game with him.

I love her in so ways I can't even imagine life without her.

Happy Birthday my little Tay Tay!

The Royal Celebration

Well the party was a chaotic success!! We had 13 little girls at our house, but I think we kept them entertained quite well. They each showed up and King Sean announced their arrival. We also had red carpet which came up our stairs and to the front door. We had the cutest CD playing with all the princess songs. The little girls all
looked so cute and Tayler was so excited to see everyone. Her little cousin Asha slept over the night before. We played the Snow White game (they searched for the poisonous apple) and then we played the Princess and the Pea game.

We made carmeled apples with the apples they found, did the Pinata, and then let them dance until lunch was ready.

Prince Connor took lunch orders and served them. They could choose hot dogs, mac & cheese, or PB&J sandwiches. I had a fruit plate, chips, and jello jigglers to go along with it all, and of course pink drink. AND then the castle cake. It didn't look as good as I thought it would, but it took me all stinkin' day Friday. It actually tasted really yummy though so that was a plus. I ran out of time to frost the ice cream cones and make the flags to stick in it, but I figured 4 year olds probably won't notice!

After lunch we opened presents, made Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) hats, and had cake and ice cream. Then the parents started coming so we started the clean-up. It was nice to have to over with. Tayler got some amazing presents. Her friends are so great and there are so many of them. I love it. Then that night we got to go to the Real Madrid game with David Beckham. It was awesome. Our seats were on the 10th row and they were actually seats not the bleachers. It was a perfect night. Rice Eccles was filled to the max. Real Salt Lake lost 2 to 0, but it was fun. There were a ton of Real Madrid fans. We forgot to take our camera so we didn't get any pictures, but David Beckham did run right in front of us. He's a hottie!

We didn't get home until after 11:00 so getting up for church was hard. I felt like I had been hit by the Mack truck. I had to teach Tayler's primary class though so I had to get up. After church I made a batch of roll dough and let it rise while we all took naps. We all slept for 3 hours. I think that is a record for Rylee. It was so needed and so great.

We made a yummy roast dinner and then went on a walk. It was a great day.

I hope that everyone had a great weekend as well.

Catch Up

I can't believe that I haven't posted this week yet.. where does the time go?
Well Monday night for Family Home Evening we did Tayler's party invitations. We are having a Royal Ball, so thus we sent out A Royal Proclamation from King Sean to all of her friends to come. It should be fun! It is this Saturday and there are 11 of her friends coming. We are playing games and having a royal feast. I am also going to tackle making a castle cake.. wish me luck! They are also suppose to come dressed up in their princess gowns. I'm sure I will have some fun pictures to post from that.

Tues. our DEAR DEAR friends the McAfee's came to our house for dinner. They used to live in Clinton, but then moved to NY. It was so awesome to see them. They are great people and we love them to death. They have two little kids (a girl and a boy). Well Tayler and Quinlyn decided to play dress up and soon Rylee and Garrison followed suit. They are such funny little one's. I love them. We are so grateful that they took time out of their time here to come and see us as well. Thanks guys!

Wednesday we went and picked Mom up from the airport. She is home safe and sound from Seattle now. The girls were SO excited to see her and have her home again too. She left me her flight information the night before but I never confirmed with her that I was going to be there to pick her up, so we were going to park and go inside to make sure that she would see us but all of the short term parking lots her full.. HELLO? so they wanted us to park in Long Term. Well that wasn't a go and I wasn't going to haul 2 kids from long term parking inside by myself so I thought well I will wait by the curb and I am sure she will come out and see if I'm there before she rides the bus home. Good plan until the stupid security guy told me I had to take a lap around the airport and then come back again. I tried to explain that if she came out during that time and didn't see me I would miss her and she would ride the bus, so I was MAD.. well he didn't care and just said "well the faster you take off the faster you will be back." Such a jerk. I was in the truck and didn't realize that brake was on so I peeled out of there like a bat out of Hell.. and everyone turned and looked at the idiot peeling out. Needless to say when we got back to the curb again, she came out 5 minutes later so it all worked out.

That night was our Enrichment at 6:30 and they were having a "Tea Party" with the theme American Heritage.. so you were suppose to wear your hair crazy. Here is a picture of a few of us before we left to go over to the park. I won the "burst of color" award.

Afterwards I had a super duper Migrane! (I now know why Tayler hates me doing her hair with those little rubber bands.)
IT was a long 3 hours that I felt like I wanted to pass on, but then I finally threw up (sorry for the gross detail) and it relieved it enough that I could sleep. My AWESOME husband stayed home from work this morning and let me sleep because he wasn't sure how I would feel. I felt better, but still have a headache. It was probably the worst one I have ever had. He ended up just working from home so I put the kids down for naps and went into Grievance this afternoon.

After work I fed the girls, took Tayler to dance class, and headed out to get all the things for the big party on Saturday. 2 1/2 hours later I emerged from Walmart. It's a great store with everything you need, but I HATE that store. Rylee was so patient as I went back and forth from one end to the other because I kept forgetting things.. Anyway, now I am home and ready for bed.

Sean scored 10th row seat tickets to the Real Madrid soccer game on Saturday. They are coveted tickets so I am excited to go with him. He really should take someone that is dying to go, but he chose me instead. Such a great man! I love him.

Hope that you all have a great weekend.. Pray for the Royal Ball to go smoothly. Loves to all.

Didn't make it to Seattle

I was suppose to fly out yesterday morning to Seattle. I was SO excited for the trip to see my new little niece and visit with my family, and be a part of Reyes blessing, but I didn't make it on the plane. I had a stand-by buddy pass on Skywest (Delta) but the plane filled up Friday. I tried to check other flights but it was costly because it was last minute. In hind sight I should have just purchased a ticket a month and a half ago. Sorry to let everyone down. I hope you guys had a fabulous time!! I miss you all and wish that I could have been there. I was really excited to see Brent and Ashley and Ryan and Marcela's homes. Now I will have to come for sure next time tickets go on sale.

Since I didn't go I filled in as a sub for the co-ed softball game Saturday morning and then we had a ward water party activity at 11:00. It was so fun! Of course no one stayed dried. There was a lot of buckets dumped over people's heads and dunking in the pools (by husbands to their wives).. it was fun. Sean was in charge of the relay race which was fun. So the girls and I went over to help.

That night we played games again with our friends the Nevilles. We really have such a great time with them.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Lazy days

Today Rylee and I woke up at 10:34 a.m. How lazy are we? I have had a sinus infection the last 2 days so I guess it was needed and since Sean was home today he and Tayler let us sleep. (I'm not sure why Rylee slept that long?!) but it was nice.

Anyway, Tayler had her dance class again last night and she was the only one that could do her "power up's" in her class (remember a few posts back we didn't even know what those were) well we figured it out and she is awesome at it.

I LOVED 'So You Think You Can Dance' last night.. Yahoo.. that Benji and Heidi are in the finals. I can't wait to watch that next week. I am totally hooked!

Today since Sean is off I think we will go and play. His sister Sherra even volunteered to tend for us tonight again. How nice is that.

Hope that everyone has a great weekend!

Rain, Rain, Rain...

I LOVE to wake up to rainy days! You get the feeling that you can be lazy and stay in your pajamas all day because no one will bother you.
I don't love it everyday, but once in a while is nice. I always love the first few days of winter for the same reason, but then I hate it after a few weeks because it is too cold.

This past weekend was fun! Saturday Sean and I went to a fun little Italian Place in Ogden to eat and then we went and saw "You, Me, and Dupree" Pretty darn funny! I think Owen Wilson is a crack-up! It was a great night out.

Sunday we had some good friends (The Conklins) over to our house! We knew them when we lived in Bountiful and now they are in Omaha, Nebraska. It was so great to see them again. I think I was 4 months pregnant with Rylee the last time we saw them so it has been a while. I wish I would have gotten some pictures. Maybe we will see them again before they leave.

Yesterday I went to work and then we went to a birthday party for Keaton at night.

Now my kids are sleeping so I think I will go and do the never ending chores! Where is the fairy godmother!!
