look what's headin' our way...

It looks like another one is going to join our family. We are all excited. Numero 4! That is crazy!

Jayson pulls up my shirt daily and talks to the baby. Tayler is convinced it's a BOY. When I say, "Tay what if it's a girl?" she quickly responds "it's not, I know for sure."
Rylee has requested a pink baby so she can be a big sister to a girl and boy. Very logical.

I guess Sept. 23rd we'll see what the outcome is, either one would be great.
I am 13 weeks tomorrow and finally feeling better. I wasn't one bit sick with the other 3, but this one has been a doozie. At my first Dr.'s visit I made him scan several times to make sure it wasn't twins since I was so sick, but there is only 1.

Anyway, this little one should arrive around Feb. 5th.

La fiesta

Last night we had a rockin' party for Jayson's birthday. Thank you everyone for coming and being with us.

Check out the awesome pinata. Oh yeah- it was a huge success and broke right after the last kiddo got a swing. Good job babe! Looks like we have a new family tradition.

The aftermath, the best thing is that they cleaned up the candy like crazy, within 2 minutes it was clean as a whistle.

Then came the cake.. Yummy! I didn't take a picture of the cake because my attempt at drawing a Wubbzy was pretty pathetic. Oh well, it tasted good. Love homemade cake and frosting. Jayson loved blowing out the candles.

All in all it was a great night. Before everyone came we went out to eat as a family at the Olive Garden. I have been craving that for a while now so Jayson obliged his mom's cravings and we went to the O.G. It was so good! We made it home just before everyone started coming.

Meet Sparkles, our newest 2 year old

I keep telling Sean that we do not need a dog because we have Jayson who totally fits the roll... he LOVES to act like a dog. Rylee has named him Sparkles. I think I could deal with a dog like this. He is quite obedient and doesn't make messes around the house. He is also very friendly.

So this little guy is officially 2 years old today. I can't believe it. Looking back I realize he has been alive now as long as he will be gone on a mission. That seems like a long time.

He is such a happy little boy. His personality is very mellow and always pleasant. He loves to try new things. He loves to play with his sisters and adores both of them. He loves to kick the soccer ball (and is very good at it). He loves to watch Super Why and of course, Wow, Wow, Wubbzy. He loves when his daddy comes home from work. He loves to eat treats. He loves to dig in the dirt with Sean. He enjoys reading and has to read at least a few books a day. He loves his "Li-Li" (lion) and blanket and won't sleep without them. He has to have a sippy cup of chocolate milk the minute he wakes up. He is such a JOY and I love everything about him. I am so glad that he joined our family 2 years ago! He is a perfect addition.

I was joking with Tayler last night that I was going to wake them all up at 4:17 a.m. to sing Happy Birthday to Jayson because that is when he was born. I think she believed me and was a bit concerned about that.

Happy Birthday little dude. We sure love you.

preparations

Tomorrow my little buddy turns 2. I can hardly believe it! It has been such a fun 2 years with this little guy. We are having a "Wow, Wow, Wubbzy" party for him tomorrow (if you have no idea who that is join the club). Most people have never heard of Wow, Wow, but my little Jacer- man is in love with the cartoon. Sean and I are attempting a Wow, Wow, Wubbzy cake. Should be interesting :) Good thing he's only 2 and really won't care what it looks like right?! I also wanted to do a pinata for all the little kids, so Sean thought it would be fun to teach the kids how to make one. We had a good time last night, but had that gooey paste EVERYWHERE! Good thing I need to mop my floor before the party.

Rylee finally decided it was okay to help. They were both covered and I am finding it all over my house.

It was a fun little project for the kids. Let's hope it works tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed! I'll be sure to take a picture of the finished product.

A little catch-up

Last Sunday I found myself in a little bit of a pickle because my babysitter wasn't able to come Monday to watch my kids while I went to work so I called my mom and asked if she would be willing and she said YES! She arrived promptly at 9:30, but since I didn't have to leave until 10:45 we chatted for a while and then I left. She was so great and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for being willing to do that last minute for me. When I left, she had brought the kids bubbles so they were outside on the back deck having a great time. I'm not sure that they even cared I left :)



We talked her into staying over night with us. That is always fun to have a grandma sleep-over. We stayed up late catching up and then crashed for the night. The next day we got ready and went to run some errands. We were all loaded up in the Yukon and when I went to start it- it was DEAD! So mom and I pushed it out of the garage, positioned her car to be able to jump it, and hooked it all up all by ourselves. I was quite proud of that ;)



After a few minutes of letting it run we headed down to Bountiful and kept our fingers crossed that it would start again. Luckily we had no other problems, but we always positioned it so that someone could jump it again if needed.



Since Sean's grandma passed away it really made me realize how precious time is so I wanted to go and see my Grandma and take some pictures so that I would have them.

It was nice to visit with her and let her know that we loved her. I think nursing homes are such sad places. I felt bad leaving her all alone. I definitely need to make a bigger effort to go and visit her more often. I think it is great for my kids as well. She is a sweet lady.

After we left Grandma's we went to Pei Wei for lunch. It was tasty and we all devoured everything on our table.

When we came home mom decided to head home as well. So we gave her big hugs and waved goodbye. Thanks again mom for everything!

Grandma Dunroe

February 14, 1915 to July 5, 2009

Today we celebrated the life of Sean's grandma, Clara. It was a beautiful day and ceremony and everyone did such a wonderful job that participated on the program. We missed Shayla and Shantelle (and Kamryn and Emerson) very much though. Sean was asked to conduct and did an amazing job. I was so proud of him. He really has such a great ability to do those things.

Grandma Dunroe truly was an amazing lady. She was a single mom who raised 2 great kids all on her own. I can't really imagine that. The stories that were shared were uplifting and most made everyone laugh. I always loved Grandma Dunroe. I loved her always present smile. I love that she was always in good spirits and had such a cheerful disposition anytime we were with her. We had the opportunity at times to go to the Nursing home when Tom was out of town on a trip and be with her to eat (since she sometimes refused to eat). It was always fun to see her light up when you sat down even though I know she wasn't at all sure who I was, but nonetheless she would look at me and smile and talk to me while she ate. Every time I left thinking that I needed to do it more often.

We are so happy that she is free from pain and suffering now. She lived a great life for 94 years and I'm sure the reunion with her parents and siblings was pretty amazing on the other side. We love you Grandma!
