Diorama and Lost tooth

This last week Rylee had started asking me questions about having a loose tooth and became very curious about it. I didn't think much of her questioning until I looked in her mouth and noticed a big gap between her front teeth. I asked her to show me and very reluctantly she did. It was so loose, but she wouldn't let anyone touch it-- she is a HUGE wimp-- (I do mean that lovingly). Yesterday, Sean tried to coerce her into letting him pull it out by bribing her with a toy at the store, but she wouldn't budge on her decision to keep it in her mouth forever. This morning it was basically hanging by a thread, so we pulled it out. She was relieved when it was out, but it was quite the ordeal. Tayler was so proud of her that she made her a sweet little card. Rylee put her tooth in the special tooth box, only to loose it 5 minutes later. I hope the Tooth Fairy still exchanges an empty box for some money.

Here's my toothless Rylee
During Tay's Parent Teacher Conference (which Sean took her too due to my newest arrival) her teacher, Mrs. A* gave them a heads up that they would have to do a Diorama and turn it in. Well Sean didn't waste anytime and he and Tay started working on it these past few days. She picked a Dolphin to research for her project.

Here is the work in progress. They are hanging from fishing line to make the 3-D effect and notice the schools they are in, very creative babe.

They had a blast working on it together. Now I know who gets to do all the Science Fair projects with the kids. Good thing they have their Daddy! ( I am diggin the Pelican on top).

And I'm proud to be an American

Today Tayler had her big 2nd grade program. It was a patriotic theme and all the kids did a wonderful job. She has been singing all the songs every night for weeks now and today was the big program. She was so excited to go to school and couldn't wait for us all to get there. They had to wear Red, White or Blue and the gym was decked out with Flags and other patriotic symbols everywhere. It was darling.

My favorite song was "I'm Proud to be an American" by Lee Greenwood. I have always loved that song (call me lame), and today being the 7th anniversary of when my dad passed away really struck a cord with me and the tears freely flowed. I couldn't even try to stop them. I'm sure everyone around me thought I was a nut case, but that's okay. I loved it and was so proud of my little 2nd grader. They sure grow up fast don't they? She is such an amazing little girl. I am a big FAN!
Way to go Tayler.

1 month old

It's hard to believe this little guy has been with us for 1 month now. Sometimes it seems like just yesterday we were getting ready to meet him and other times it seems like we have had him with us forever. He is such a good baby. He is calm (unless hungry and then you only have 3o seconds), he is very alert, he is good about letting his sisters and brother give him 1000's of kisses. He loves to be snuggled and I love to snuggle him.
I am taking him into his Dr. today because I think he has a little bit of reflux. He has been struggling with that for a little over a week and I feel so bad for him so I am going to find out if what I can do for him.
We are loving this sweet little guy so much!! I can't imagine life without him. He fits perfectly into our family.

Fabulous Weekend

This past weekend Rylee, Jackson and I headed to Denver to be there for my nephew, Jacob, blessing. He was born 1 month before Jackson and I was so excited to meet him. Several members of my family came as well so it was fun to be with them too. With everyone spread out through the U.S. the time we get to be together is cherished time.

My flight wasn't suppose to leave until 7:53 p.m. Friday, but it was only because I had my dates screwed up on when Sean would be out of town when I booked it. When I found out I had the wrong dates, we changed my flight to Friday morning so I could spend as much time as possible with my family.
We left early Friday morning so I have to say a huge thank you to Grandma Shayla for staying with Tayler and Jayson all day Friday so that I could leave that early and enjoy my time.
We arrived 15 minutes after Jenny flew in so she was there when we got off the airplane. It was SO awesome to see her standing there as we came up the ramp. I love that girl! After we got our stuff together we headed out to meet Julie. We were all so excited to see her too. My mom flew in at 12:30 so Jared picked her up and then we all met up at Mimi's Cafe for lunch. Hooray- the gang was all there at that point & the party began!

We sat right below a table that said "Jackson Square" so we had to get a picture. Very fitting don't you think?
Grandma & Jackson- such a cute picture!!
After lunch we shopped a little bit and then went back to Jared and Katie's to hang out and see Katie since she had to work Friday.
Sunday was the big day for sweet little Jacob and Jared did such a fabulous job on the blessing.
What a cute little family! Jared, Katie, Cayden and Jacob
My awesome family
Sisters- I love them!
After the blessing we went over to Katie's parents house who put on a delicious spread for everyone. Thank you!

Rylee thought she was funny & adorned Jared with her accessories

The 2 cousins- Jackson and Jacob (my brother Ryan and his wife Marcela had their baby 2 weeks after Jackson was born. That will be so fun at family functions to have 3 so close!)

My cute little traveling buddy

After the blessing and lunch we went over to Annie and Steve's house to visit and play. I love that we were able to see all of them as well while there. They are such an awesome family.
A big shout out to my fabulous husband for letting me go & encouraging me to go- even over Valentine's Day- and being Mr. Mom to my 2 other kiddos. He is terrific and is always so nice to arrange everything so that I can go. Thank you. Love you babe!
