Grandpa Behling

April 1919- Sept. 2007

Yesterday my cute little Grandpa passed away. I think it's always hard to let go even though you know it is inevitable.

He was a wonderful man. He was intelligent, loving, kind, full of integrity, hug-able,
kissable, and best of all talked with his eyes closed. I loved that!!

I am so thankful that he came up to Jayson's blessing
just a few weeks ago. He even bore his testimony in my ward.

I am grateful that he was able to seal Sean and I in the Bountiful temple and
be here to give me my patriarchal blessing. It is one thing to do those
things and another to have someone you care so much about
perform the ordinances. There are many special days
I remember and will record.

I have wonderful memories of him and am thankful to have had a
Grandpa as great as him.

We will all miss him very much, but like Tayler said "Mom, we'll see
him again soon because we will all go to heaven and
then be resurrected." What comfort
it truly is to know that it isn't the end, but a mere step
into the eternities.

All of my brothers and sisters are coming and I am so excited
to see them all.

My happy little guy

Here is a Thursday smile for everyone.
Can you believe he is 2 months already? He is the best baby ever!

He never cries unless he needs some nourshiment and is just content with the world.

How did we get so lucky? I love him!

Funny things this week I want to remember:

  • Tayler told Sean that we could get a dog like Scooby-Doo because he never has to go to the bathroom. What logic!! (That's her new favorite cartoon)

  • Rylee has decided that coloring on things other than paper is fun (not so funny to her mama however), last night she used a color pencil on the wall and was frantically trying to lick her hand to get it off. Does anyone have a good remedy for ball point pen on leather? She is so naughty!

And lastly, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister in law Katie (from the 9th). I hope you had a great day!! Don't worry I still need to send your card. I am so lame!! :)

Blessing Weekend

This weekend was Jayson's blessing and most of my family was able to come into town for it. It was so wonderful to see all of them and I appreciate SO much having them come and support us. I love you all!! Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Friday I cleaned my house and Saturday I went out to my mom's house where everyone was.
Brent and Jayson (I love that he smiled-- since Brent doesn't really like the newborns. He likes it when they can interact with him.
Sean and Tayler went down to the BYU game on Saturday, but came home early because Tay didn't feel so great and ended up throwing up all over.
Sunday was a beautiful day and everything went perfectly, except when we came out of Church it was POURING rain. I love the rain though! It didn't last very long before the sun came out again. Sean did a fabulous job on the blessing. He had to conduct Sacrament meeting as well so that was fun!
Brent and Ashley left around 2 to start the drive back to Seattle. They stayed in Boise Sunday night with Jen and Steve.
Everyone else hung out for a while so we chatted and played some games. Julie bought me the PRICE IS RIGHT game and it was awesome. She also bought Tayler the Dance Revolution game so we busted those out and played them. They were both great. Thanks Julie!
Around 10 p.m. they decided it was time to go home. I was sad to see them go, but again am so thankful that they came to be with us. You guys rock!!Aunt Katie and Rylee
