Jayson's Birthday

I can't believe my Jayson is 4.  We celebrated with lunch at Applebees (his choice) and then after Tayler's Friday night game we came home and opened presents.

On Monday we had a family party.  We had a BBQ, pinata, and then cake and ice cream.  I think he had a great time turning 4.  Love you buddy.  Did you know he's addicted to sharks.  Yep.  Sean and I made his cake.  It was fun to experiment with fondant.

Thank you everyone for coming to his party and for the sweet gifts in the mail and phone calls.  It totally made his day.

Real Salt Lake Game

Saturday Night we went to the Real Salt Lake game.   We had a good time and they won 4-0!  We sat right behind the goal and that is where all 4 goals were scored in the 2nd half.  It was exciting.  Sean bought all the kids Real Salt Lake shirts.

After the game, they did fireworks so we went out and sat on the field.  Great night with my favorite peeps!

Tay's Tournament

Right after Jen and her kids left, we got to babysit Sawyer (Sharla's baby) for a few days.  It is a good thing she is such a good baby because that is the day Tayler's tournament games started and we hauled her everywhere. Also a blessing was that Jackson was so nice to her.  He was her little protector.  It was sweet.

The first day Tony Beltran, from Real Salt Lake came to visit all the teams.  Luckily, one of the mom's snapped a picture.

(yep, Tay's the one in the bright yellow goalie shirt, can't miss her).  This is their whole team minus one girl that didn't play in this tournament.

Their team played amazing!  Sean is the coach and they seem to have so much fun together and those girls are so talented.  They are a blast to watch.  They played games on Wednesday evening, 2 games Thursday, Friday evening and the championship game on Saturday. 

They ended up getting 2nd place which I thought was fantastic.  I was so proud of all the girls and their efforts.  The days were long and hot, but they played their little hearts out. Tayler had to play goalie quite a bit because the other girl that plays got pneumonia during the tournament.  She had some amazing saves.  My favorite was when she jumped up and hit it with her fingertips.  Still makes me smile!

Way to go Tayler!  You are one awesome soccer gal.

"Moore" love continues...

On Monday, Jen's good friend (and a SUPER awesome lady) Cherie and her son Trent came from Boise.  They also brought Emmy back with them.  We were very excited to see them all!  We decided to ride Front Runner and Trax to Temple Square.  IT WAS A VERY HOT DAY  and we missed the train by a few minutes.  The kids' were great sports though!

We walked around Temple Square for a while and then went to eat at the Navuoo cafe.  Love it for adults, but it isn't the best eating joint for kids' with the choices.  We should have hit the Lion House!  Darn it.  Next time girls!

We found our way back to Front Runner. I was FREAKING out because I had to get the packet for Tayler's tournament to Layton by 9:00 and the train didn't come until 8:00.  Luckily, I did make it with 10 minutes to spare.. PHEW! (Thanks to Jen's awesome plan :)

The next day we hit TAI PAN in the morning for some shopping and then Jen and Cherie went to the temple.  My mom came up to help with all the kids so I left Jackson home for a nap and took the other little fish to the pool.  It was a perfect day for swimming.  HOT, HOT, HOT!  I can't believe I didn't take any pictures at the pool.  We came home with some sore eyes, but they seemed to have a good time.

The next day we had to say good-bye.  It definitely pulled at my heart strings and I couldn't help the tears.  I hated to see them drive away because they are SO far away.  Too far away.  BUT, I am thankful for the times we do get to spend together and for all the memories that become attached to those visits! 

Love you guys!  They made it home after a very LONG travel day. 



"Moore" love

After the 4th of July weekend, my sister and her kids came back to our house to end their 18 day trip!  My kids were so excited to have them return and asked me everyday when they were coming back. Seriously a few hours after they left, they asked me how much longer until they come back.  I knew it was going to be a LONG week in between :)
Thursday, they made it back to our house around 5:30(ish) from Boise, so we ate dinner and then headed out to Sean's soccer game (that he plays NOT coaches :) The temperature was just right and there was a park for the kids to play at.

After the game, we hit our FAVORITE shaved ice place in the world for a yummy treat!  They really are delightful.  We call it the Hula Shack.  I'm honestly not sure the real name of it.

The next morning Julie flew in at 9:45 a.m. so we picked her up at the airport and headed to my mom's for a fun filled day.
Grandma busted out all the water toys and Jayson was in HEAVEN with the squirt guns!!  All the kids had a blast and played so well together (well, except for Jackson who thought he needed to pick on Eli!  Little stinker).

 He soaked Grandma so she dunked him in the pool.. it was awesome! Sweet Revenge. 

It is such a treat to be with both my sisters and mom at the same time.  We definitely have a fun time together!

Saturday, Julie and my mom came up to our house and we went swimming at our pool and then made Cafe Rio Salads for dinner to celebrate Julie's birthday.  We got a cake for her and Jayson (and were thinking about Emmy, who was still in Idaho and Jared who was in Denver).

I love his expression here.  (I'm sorry the picture is a bit blurry).  Anyone that knows Jayson right now knows that he is COMPLETELY into sharks.  Jen had asked me if he had a helmet and he didn't so she said she had the perfect gift and it totally was.  He has been excited to ride his bike everyday just to wear his shark helmet.  Such a funny boy!

They each wanted different cakes, so they had their own.  It was fun!

Sunday Jen took her kids, plus Rylee and Tayler out to Grandma's church.  Our ward had been split the week before so I stayed to go to Sacrament in my new ward to hear all the new callings.  Afterwards, the boys and I headed out for dinner and to say goodbye to Julie.  Jackson fell asleep right before we got to Grandma's house.

We had to say goodbye to Julie around 6:30 so she could make her flight.  The bummer was that her flight was delayed until about 9:30(ish).  It would have been fun to hang out longer.  Darn it, I wish we would have known!  It was a wonderful weekend.
