Pumpkin Carving Action

Ahh, pulling out the guts. The pumpkins were out on our porch from last night so the kids were saying that they were "FREEZING"... I tested it out and they were partly frozen. Crazy weather.
Jayson totally got into the "gut" pulling. He loved it!

After about an hour and a half all 3 kiddos had their pumpkins carved and were thrilled with the results. I did the "Witch" for Tayler and Sean did the "Haunted House" for Rylee and the "crazed Wow Wow Wubbzy" for Jayson (just kidding- it just looked like that since he is still so addicted to that silly show). I think they all turned out pretty good!

Here is Jayson's pumpkin
Tayler's Witch (usually Sean picks this one for ME!) :)

And last but not least, Rylee's Haunted House

Anyway, now to get the costumes ready for Saturday. Not that it matters since they will be under their big winter coats- I could just dress them in their regular clothes! Did Halloween sneak up on anyone else this year? Man, I can't believe that October is coming to an end already. Pretty soon Thanksgiving will be here!
It snowed pretty hard this morning. It was beautiful to watch in my big front room windows. Rylee was bummed that she couldn't build a snowman. I kept telling her that she would have plenty of opportunities in the near future, she settled for hot chocolate for lunch.
I had a visit with my Dr. for the baby today. Everything seems to be going well and everything is right on track. I asked him if I could keep running even though my feet seem to be swelling more and he said I was fine to keep going. It really does make me feel so much better. Right now I am just enjoying feeling the baby move around. This will probably be my last pregnancy so I am trying to just enjoy it to the best of my ability- the good and the bad.
Time to go clean up some pumpkin guts. Loves to all!

crazy eight

Eight years ago today, I made a pretty stellar decision to marry a very awesome man and I'm so glad that I did. I can't imagine life any other way. He takes such good care of me.
In the 8 years we've been married we have had *almost* 4 kids (we're getting there), moved 4 times, worked together in the same office, played together, climbed some pretty big mountains, cried together, seen each other at our worst, and YET we are still smiling and lovin' life. My love just keeps growing more & more each day for my man. Love you babe!

dAy FaRm FuN

Today for FHE we headed over to Day Farms for the hayride and picking of PUMPKINS! The kids had a blast. It was a tad bit chilly, but thankfully we had 1 more day in the 60's to get our pumpkins before we see snow and drop into the 40's. Afterwards we warmed our tummy's at Applebee's for dinner. Love hangin' out with my crew. Here's some pictures of our evening adventures! Tomorrow will be the carving party.

Funny Jayson

This past Sunday at dinner Jayson refused to eat his dinner (which he does just about every day- little stinker) so Sean sent him to time out until he could be a big boy and eat his dinner with the rest of us. Well, this is how we found him in time out, sound asleep. Is there anything sweeter? I cuddled him for a minute since he won't really let me do that anymore. I sure love my little dude. I can't wait to meet his brother in a couple months.

Church from 1-4 doesn't help much with tired, ornery little kids. We switch to the 9-12 schedule in 2 weeks because our new building is DONE. That will be a very welcomed change. Hallelujah!

So I am finally going to decorate the "boys" room. I really haven't done anything in Jayson's room since we moved in, and then when I found out I was pregnant I thought I would wait to find out what the next baby would be and then go to town. Now that we know it is another little boy, I am going to do it in the theme of old airplanes and/or cars. I found these 2 bedding ensembles and I'm not sure which one I like better. The first one would match the wall colors better, but the second one would too (just in a different way)... Just curious which one you would pick? We have found the old airplanes at Ti Pan Trading that we will hang from the ceiling. I think it will be pretty cute when it is all done.

Went to the gym again today. I bought myself a gym membership so that I didn't feel so gross & HUGE. It is only 5 minutes from our house and is only $10 a month and the 1st hour of day care is free (for 2 kids). Not to shabby eh? It is perfect and my kids don't mind going to play for an hour while I run. I have run 2.5 - 3 miles every time and then do some weights. It makes me feel so much better. I hope I can keep it up if the baby doesn't mind being bounced a little :)

Randomness..

I am not sure where I have been lately, but I will attempt to do some catch-up. Saturday Tayler had a soccer game at 1:00 so I was able to make it from work. It was fun to see her in action. I thought it would be warm at her game, but it was a bit chilly. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa D. for coming to her game. She did awesome and ran hard, just look at those rosy cheeks. Sean has been practicing a lot with her lately and she is doing great! This year the team plays 7 on 7 with a goalie and they all are assigned positions so it has been a little bit different and taken some time to get used to. At the start of the 3rd quarter Tayler was out resting, but one of the other girls got hurt so they said "Tayler we need you, you will play full-back" She jumped up, said alright and started to run out on the field and then turned around and said "wait, what's that again?" So cute! I love that she wants to do what the coaches ask and be where she needs to be for her team. She has one more game left next week and then it will be over until the Spring.
Rylee giving us a thumbs up for Tay.
I love to hear Jayson yell for Tayler at the games. He squats down with his hands on his thighs and yells "go Tay-Tay, go" repeated about a million times (i'm not kidding). He is one crazy kid.

Good ol' #6

Little action shot..
Friday was Sharla's birthday (Sean's youngest sister) so we celebrated her birthday at PF Changs. It was SOOOO good. We spent WAY too much money, but our bellies were all full and very satisfied. Thanks for having a birthday Sharla. In Sean's family they have birthday's on the 6th (Sean's), 9th (Sharla's) and 12th (Shelly's). October was a busy month for his mom! It's fun to celebrate.

Grandma and Grandpa
I hate this picture with my double chin- but I think Sean looks good!
The birthday girl

Other randomness....Jayson and Rylee have been such great buddies lately. They have their moments, but all in all they really do the cutest things and play together all day long. It is fun to watch.
The other day, they pulled out the Elmo couch to watch their show together. Can you see their reflection in the fire place. Jayson was as close to Rylee as he possibly could be. Such cuties.
Hangin' out in the cart and the grocery store. I will pull these pictures out in a few year and show them both that they really did love each other :))

I am loving the cooler weather and fall like air. It's always fun when the season changes and you have a little more bounce in your step. I am SO not ready for the snow however. Luckily, we haven't had any yet (knock on wood).
Hope your days are good too. Hugs!

happy, HaPpY birthday

I just wanted to wish my handsome husband a very HAPPY birthday today! He is wonderful in every way and perfect for me and that is all that matters. I love his zeal for life. He is always working on something new and excels in everything he does. He is a terrific father and his kids adore him. I feel very lucky to have him in my life to help make myself a better person too. Hope your day is magical babe!

Love you lots! XOXOX

Concert, Birthday Surprise & A touch of Fall

Well, we had a great time at the concert. The bummer was that they wouldn't let me take my camera in with me because it has a "detachable" lens. Whatever! So we took this picture outside and that was it. Sean took some with his phone so when I get those I can post them. Both girls were pumped. Metro Station was the opening act which I thought was a bit odd for a concert with lots and LOTS of little girls, but soon learned that the lead singer is Trace Cyrus, Miley's older brother. Anyway, we enjoyed it all!

When Miley came out and Rylee heard a song she recognized she perked right up. It was cute! Poor Miley was sick with the Flu or stomach flu so at one point- mid song- she had to run off the stage, I'm guessing to throw up. How hard would that be? After that she did a great job. I can't imagine being sick and having to perform at high energy. I totally give her props. It was an awesome night! I love hangin' with my girls- 3 bathroom trips and all.

For my birthday Sean surprised me with my kitchen table that I fell in love with LONG ago (when we were designing our kitchen for this house) & bar stools. They were delivered this morning. I was so excited all morning long. I LOVE them!! Take a look...

Doesn't it look like it was made for my kitchen. Perfectly matching!!

J-Man gave it a thumbs up (Oreo face and all). The table has already been broken in by oreo's and Doritos.

I put some fall decorations up Saturday. I felt in the mood, but only found 1 of my Rubbermaid's. I have no idea where everything else is. What a bummer. Anyway, here's a few things.

I need to continue up my other railing still...
I love that my door has a ledge. It will be fun to decorate for all the seasons.

ALSO, I have to say thank you to all those that called, sent messages, cards, gifts, etc. for my birthday. I love you all so very much! Sean organized a dinner with his family and my mom (she is the only one from my family in Utah. Thanks mom for representing everyone!) He made yummy Cafe Rio burritos for dinner. He made everything, including homemade salsa, dressing, pico de gallo, etc. He worked his tail off and I am so grateful to him for everything he does for me. He even sacrificed going to the BYU game that Saturday afternoon to stay home with me and get everything ready for Sunday. If that doesn't say I love you, than I'm not sure what does. That is huge, since he is such a big fan!! Again, thank you everyone for making it such a great day. My friend Maria even brought homemade cinnamon rolls and frosting that I got to bake the next morning for breakfast. They were DELICIOUS! I am very blessed.

oh yeah baby here we come...

For Tayler's birthday this year, we bought her tickets to the Miley Cyrus concert. Sean decided that it would be fun if he and Rylee came too. Jayson gets to stay home and watch Wow Wow Wubbzy with Aunt Sharla (lucky little boy). So tonight is the BIG night. I think she is excited, but doesn't really know what to expect since she has never been to a concert before. I am going to pop my Tylenol since even her CD gives me a headache and hope my girls have a great time, which I think they will. If they don't know the words to EVERY song I will be shocked. Wish us luck!!

Girl or Boy?

Well we had our Ultrasound today AND...
We are all so excited that another little boy will be joining our family. I think 2 and 2 will be perfecto! When the Ultrasound tech said "it is for sure a boy" (he had his legs spread wide so there is no doubt)..
Tayler exclaimed "I knew IT"
Rylee smiled big &
Jayson started clapping loudly saying "yeah baby"
Sean was a wee bit excited too!

It is always so much fun to get to see all the different parts and make sure they are all functioning as they should. Everything looked great. 4 chambers in the heart, brain is perfect, stomach and bladder are functioning correctly, kidneys were both there, etc, etc. It was fun. They got some great shots of him, even a perfect shot of his upper lip. He moved around the whole time, he is an active little one that is for sure.
Anyway, what a fun day! We feel very blessed & can't wait to meet him. I hope he has a great time with his Grandpa Linton before he sends him down us.

Happy 1st day of fall-- Ya'll

I LOVE fall! I love everything about it. The crispness in the air. The leaves changing color. The new attitude it brings. The holidays that it brings along with it. Yummy soups and homemade rolls. Sweatshirts and jackets. Fires.

It's a great time of year! Hope it stays around for a while.

Rylee's turn

Yesterday was Rylee's turn to start school. Monday night Sean gave her a sweet Father's blessing & she was so happy! I can't believe that next year she will be heading to Kindergarten. How do our kids grow up so quickly? Well, this year Rylee didn't want to go anywhere for pre-school so I am putting on my teacher's hat (don't laugh) and will be her teacher & try to get her ready for kindergarten. We started yesterday and had a great time. She was a little hesitant at first, but we played an ABC game and she relaxed after that. We did a review of letters, sounds, colors, and shapes and then took a field trip to the library for story time and to check out some books. It was a fun 1st day. Rylee was happy to include Jayson in her class with us :)

If anyone has any great websites or helps in the pre-school department please SHARE! I need all the help I can get.

Soccer Fun

So Tayler has started up Soccer again for the Fall. This year, however, she is not playing 3 on 3 anymore she is playing 7 on 7 with a goalie. Saturday was her first game and since it was at 1:00 I was able to go. It was so much fun to watch her. Her team is the "PINK THUNDER"
and they won 4-0! They were pretty awesome. And guess who scored one of those 4 goals from quite a ways back I might add, well, little #6 did. I was so proud. Way to go Tayler. Jayson and Rylee were great little cheerleaders for their sister. It was a hOt day, but we all enjoyed ourselves.

Ready to play
Watching from the sideline (the sun is in their eyes- hence the squinting)

Play time- can you see Tay?
Tay & Ry
Jayson getting some love too
I hope the weather cooperates for most of the games. It will be fun to watch her this year. She is a great little athlete.
