Pictures are back

Here are the pictures I got back from Target. Pretty cute I think!

Jayson was ready to eat Rylee. He is such a funny boy. I love them!!!

Oops & Fun Christmas Activities

I have learned this equation:
Mommy + Orange Juice= Very upset & sad baby

When Jayson was only a few weeks old I had o.j. and he was up the whole night. Well, I thought maybe it wouldn't affect him this time since he was a bit older (and Sean made Orange Julius' )and I was weak and drank a WHOLE big glass. Needless to say Jayson and I spent a lot of time together Saturday night :) I have learned my lesson! At least for another few months-- NO OJ!

Sunday night we crafted our Gingerbread house! Tayler has been so excited all week.

I think they ate more frosting and candies than you are allowed, but it was fun!

Last night we went with our friends the NeVille's to the Christmas Sing-A-long that Larry H. Miller does at the Delta Center for everyone. It's free for families and it was fun! We went to dinner at Pei Wei and then headed down to the delta center. They had a symphony that played the songs, so it was beautiful. It was a great FHE night!

Only 7 days until Christmas!

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy Birthday Ashley!!!
Okay so I have to confess.. I totally thought it was the 15th.. and here is a picture of my calendar to prove it (and no I didn't write it in then take a picture). I kept having a feeling that it was the 12th.. dude I'm a dork! Sorry I didn't call either!

I even have your card ready to go on the table to mail out tomorrow and I thought.. "sweet, for once in my life it will get there on time".. wrong again!!!

The reason I was so excited is because Ashley has this wonderful gift of getting you something in the mail that will arrive precisely on your birthday. It's amazing and I haven't quite figured out how she does it, but miraculously every time for our family it comes on the exact day, not a day or two early or late.. exactly on the day. She is fabulous!

We love her so much and are so grateful she is part of our family.

Hope you had an amazing and fun-filled day!!

Picture time

Yesterday we were suppose to have pictures taken with all the cousins from Sean's side of the family, but a few of them were sick and throwing up so we cancelled that, but I still kept the sitting and took my kids. I think they turned out pretty cute. Jayson was such a ham for the camera, it was funny! He was smiling so big!
These are just some shots I took quickly on our way out the door.

It's a rainy day today so I think we will just hang out and make crafts. I bought some fun things to make with my kiddos.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..

Saturday (and late Friday night) it started to snow, and snow, and snow! Tayler was so excited to wake up and see snow Saturday morning! It was a great day because we didn't have anything to do except play and that we did! I bundled up the girls and then Sean took them both sledding. They loved it! Tay making a snow angel
Cute girls- Rylee had just partaken of the snow. She loved it!

Still eating...

That night Sean told me to go out all by myself. It was wonderful! I hit 6 or 7 stores in a matter of a few hours. Usually when I have all 3 kids I only hit 2 at the most! It was great!

Last night we had a dinner party for the dental office I work at. It was awesome until my headache turned into a migraine and I was ready to puck. I haven't had one that bad in a long time! I came home and put my sweats on and laid down. Sean brought me my sweet little boy around 10:30 and I fed him and he went to bed for 12 hours. I love him!

Jayson had his 4-month check up today. He is in the 50% for both weight and length. Then he had 4 shots. Poor little guy! I put him in his bed to vacuum and this is what I found when I finished.
He seriously is a perfect little angel! I love my little boy!

We decked the halls and I am loving all the Christmas lights, music, and laughter going on. Sometime soon we are going to go to Temple Square and take the kids on a carriage ride and see the lights.
Tayler is very interested in the Angel tree that our ward is doing. I have explained to her what it is and she is excited to buy presents with me. It's sweet to see them start to understand that some people really don't have anything. I hope to always be able to do that every year. After all that is what Christmas is all about.
Happy December everyone!

Long time

Woo, it has been a long time since I blogged!

Lots has happened.
I got to go and visit my fabulous sister in Boise and spend some time with her and her family. It was wonderful. I love to be with her. We shopped, vegged, shopped, ate, just hung out, and had a great time. I love that girl more than I can say and her cute girls (and Steve too!). I loved seeing them and playing with all of them. Jayson was spoiled too with all the attention. I think I need to steal Emmy to come and live with me. She was such a big helper! I really wish we lived closer-- maybe someday in my perfect world!

We hosted Thanksgiving this year at our home. We had 25 people in all. It was a chaotic, good time. It was fun to visit with everyone, but a bit stressful trying to cram that many people in at one time. (I hope no one was claustrophobic :0) The food was wonderful (Sean did everything). I am so glad I married someone that can cook so well.

My kidlets have been sick, sick, sick. We thought that Rylee had Hand, Foot, and Mouth, but now they are saying that it is just the Herpes virus that got her. She had a mouth and throat full of canker sores. Poor girl! It was so sad. She had a high fever to go along with it all as well. I felt so bad for her. When I left Thursday night to my sisters she didn't look like she felt so great, but I didn't think she would be that sick for so long. It lasted over a week and then she started acting a little better. It is nice to have her feeling better again! But now poor Tayler has it too. The cold sore on her lip is massive.
(sorry for the gross picture, but I had to share. Icky huh??)
I thought she might have strep but that test came back negative yesterday. I hate it when my kids are sick and I can't do anything to make them feel better. I love to snuggle them and read them stories.
On the 15th, the girls did a dance routine for the Viemont drill team's fund raiser. It was hysterical!! Rylee just stood there, but Tayler danced her little heart out. She is quite the little dancer! At the end Rylee did blow kisses to the audience and everyone clapped. It was pretty dang cute. The pictures didn't turn out but we have it on video (it was too dark in the gym).
Well, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving week(end). I am grateful for so many things in my life. I truly am so blessed in every way and I hope to never take that for granted.

Today we are decorating the tree (I think it might cure Tayler). She is so excited to help! Last night Sean set up the tree so now we will drag out all the Christmas totes, crank up the Christmas music and decorate all day!
Loves to all!

Who did it?

Saturday night we got cute BriAnna to come and babysit for us (THANK YOU!!!) and went to a Murder Mystery Party at our friends, the Carlson's, home!

It was so much fun. I remember doing one while I lived with Brooke at the Swallow Apt.'s, and thought it was so fun then too!

This one was "set" in a diner in the 50's, so we ate hamburgers, potato salad, chips, root beer, and shakes.

I was Penelope Loafer (penny loafer), twin sister to Rock-n-Roley and from a very wealthy family. Sean was Rick C. Alcitrent, Rock-n' Roleys stage manager. He totally used Crisco in his hair. It was awesome!

You go through the game and try to guess who the murderer is by clues that are given. (I won't say 'who it was' just in case someone plays it).

I totally look retarded in this picture, but oh well! My glasses actually made my costume. I had a green plaid skirt on with my socks pulled up to my knees and penny loafers. I found everything at Savers. It was fun!

Friday night we went to dinner at the Olive Garden for Sean's brothers birthday and Tayler threw-up all over the table. It was lovely! Sean took Tay home and I stayed with Jayson and Rylee to eat. Nothing like some puke to curb your appetite. She threw up again that night, but is doing much better!

Tayler is definitely one of Jayson's favorite people. He always smiles when he hears her voice or looks around and tries to find her! It makes me smile!

Yesterday Sean worked from home in the morning and then we went to lunch, but the radiator belt split & started spraying out coolant everywhere when we got to the restaurant so we had it towed to a service station and he took a PTO day.

Last night, Tay and Rylee had a practice with the drill team at Viewmont. They are the mini Vykelle's and are doing a dance Wednesday night at the Vykelle's performance. It will be cute! Rylee was so cute and looked so little. I can't wait. I'll try and get some pictures tonight at practice and then for sure Wed.

I go to my sisters in 2 days! Boo-yah!! I can't wait! Watch out Steve, cause here I come! :)

My little Tay

So last night while grocery shopping Tayler says to me "I am so excited because tomorrow is show and tell and we have to bring something with the letter "H"

I didn't think much of it since I figured we had plenty of things around the house that started with that letter, but my little Tay crafted herself a house complete with christmas lights and flowers to take. What a little smartie she is! I love her!

Here they are..

So my glasses came in today. Wow, they will take a lot of getting use to!
I finally got my Drivers License again so I am no longer illegal. Hooray for that!!
My picture however is so awful. They made me wear my glasses. Doesn't that
seem a little odd? I should go get a new picture taken.
It's amazing how clear everything is.. Wooaaa! Sorry eyes for straining you for so long!

The Saga continues

I had my eye appt. yesterday to get glasses or contacts so that I can get my drivers license and what do you know.. the problem is far worse than I could have imagined.

I have a condition called "Keratoconus" It's a disease of the eye that causes the cornea to become thin and protrude. They say that when vision is no longer satisfactory with glasses or contact lenses (the hard rigid gas ones) surgery, usually a corneal transplant is recommended. Yikes!

I can't wear the soft contact lenses because the Dr. said that is like trying to put a square peg in a round hole, it just doesn't work. So right now I will just try glasses and then be tested every year to see how fast it progresses. My first question was "can I go blind?" He said not blind as in "darkness" but blind as in "you can't see anything in front of you" Yes!

It kind of took me off guard and when I got to my car I couldn't hold back the tears. I cried for a few minutes then toughened up and called Sean. He knew exactly what it was because SelectHealth just decided to cover corneal transplants for that condition.

Isn't that crazy? Here I thought I just needed glasses to drive. Nope!

Sunny Newport Beach

This is the beach that we played at. It was so much fun. The water was FREEZING, but the girls still braved it.

Sean helped them make a sea turtle. It was so cute.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my Dad's birthday and I have been thinking a lot about him today.

I really am so grateful to feel him around me all the time. He is the best guardian angel out there!

Love and miss you Dad!

Sea World & Disneyland

We did have a great time and the weather was so nice. Friday we didn't get there until 8:30 or so after picking up the rental car and driving to the condo, but I called my awesome friend Rachel (who was just a mile away from us) and borrowed her pack n' play. Thank you so much my friend! It was great to give you a hug and see your cute kids! You were a life-saver!
Saturday we went to Sea World and loved every minute of it.

It actually was chilly that day and sprinkled a little bit, but felt good. Tayler loved the ride they had there until she got soaked! Rylee loved the Shamu show. She stood there captivated!

The walrus there was HUGE!! I can't believe I didn't even get a picture of it.

Tayler's favorite part was feeding the dolphins because you could touch them. It was neat to see her feed them the little fishy food.

The next 2 days were spent at Disneyland. I do like that place but by the end of 2 days I don't want to return for a VERY long time.

Tayler was able to ride all of the big rides since she was finally tall enough. She loved it!! I'm not sure what our amo will be anymore to get her to eat all her dinner :)

We had fun taking her on Space Mountain. Rylee rode the Matterhorn and loved that as well. She kept telling us that she wanted to ride on the "mountain ride" again & again. It's so fun when they can ride the bigger rides.

Monday morning we had breakfast with the Princesses. My girls dressed up (Tay as Cinderella and Rylee as Tinkerbell) and we headed to Ariels Gratto. They loved every minute of that. We saw Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Snow White, and Belle up close and personal. It was definitely worth it.By the end of the 2 days Rylee felt just the same as me!

Tayler could have kept going forever!

Jayson was SUCH a good boy too. We hardly ever heard from him. All in all it was a good time! Tomorrow I will post pictures of the beach.

The start of the trip.. in a nutshell

So we wake the kids up at 5:45 a.m. because our flight was at 8:35 a.m. I have never seen Tayler so excited and so awake that early in the morning. She jumped out of bed, got dressed, and was ready to go. We got ready, finished all the last minute things that needed to be done and were out the door by 6:15.

We made it to the airport with no problem and decided to Sky Cap all of our luggage and then have Sean go and park the car in long term parking.

Well this is where it all begins!!?!

The gentleman at the Sky Cap says to Sean "oh your Drivers License has expired. Do you have any other government form of ID?" I thought I was going to cry! I never thought to check that and they had just bearly expired on our birthday's just weeks ago. Great timing!! So Sean heads inside to talk to someone and get us on another flight. The only flight they could get us on was at 9:00 P.M.! This time I was really close to tears, and Tayler was in tears! It broke my heart.

Since it was so early and we couldn't go to the DMV we decided to head home. I didn't want to go home. It was such a let down. I didn't want to spend the whole day doing nothing and then head out again.

We stopped for breakfast at McDonald's and then called the DMV and found out that they were open to renew our drivers licenses. We arrived right when they opened. I thought it would be pretty slick until they make me look in the little box and tell me to read line 5. (I was a little nervous because last time I did it I really couldn't see the numbers very well, but made my way through it).. this time-- NOT SO LUCKY!!

I couldn't make out a thing on line 5 so they wouldn't give me a Drivers License. I kept adjusting the box and saying "I don't know what is going on." By this point, I think I did have tears! A whole new problem to deal with! They gave me an ID card until I get my eyes checked and get glasses or contacts, so currently I can not drive!

After that nightmare, we came home and I decided to call Delta to see if we could possibly get on any other flight before 9:00. After searching, the representative said that there was a flight with a stop in Oakland at 11:33 (it was 9:35) but I thought "we can make it" so she re-booked us on that flight.

We grabbed the kids and hurried out the door and back to the airport. We stopped again to Sky Cap only to hear "mam, whoever you spoke with isn't allowed to do that." Seriously, what did you say???

It turns out that that flight was flying express jet from Oakland to LAX so Delta would lose money by putting us on it. OH MY *&%$ are you kidding me. I tried to remain calm. The Sky Cap lady said that she would go inside and see what she could do. Well I thought that we would for sure miss this flight too since time was ticking by. When the lady came back out she said the best they could do was put us on a flight at 4:30 into Long Beach. That would have been fine except that we had a rental car reserved at LAX. We called Hertz and since it was a pre-paid deal we couldn't switch it. Of course not!

It was ridiculous so Sean decided to go inside and talk with the same lady that was there the 1st time. She straightened it all out and ended up giving us confirmations for the 11:33 flight (but told Sean not to miss this flight!). Perfect, except that Sean still had to park the car in long term parking.

The kids and I hurried in and saw the line for security. It was seriously the longest line I have ever seen at the SL airport. We got in line and made it to the front but there was no sign of Sean. I kept thinking "there is no way we are going to make it" since we only had 10 minutes left. I stayed in the front of the line and kept letting people go ahead of me and then saw Sean. I was so happy! We rushed through the line and ran to the gate.

The rest of the flight was uneventful (thank heavens!). The layover in Oakland was long, but we had fun. When we finally made it to LAX we picked up our luggage and discovered that 1 piece was missing. Yep the perfect ending to our day. Luckily, it was just a bag with beach towels and some shoes and other misc. things, but not too big of a deal.

Isn't that a fun way to start a vacation??

I will post pictures tomorrow! The rest of the trip was great!

Peace out!
