On Tayler's card, she drew a picture of herself and her shirt read "I'm beautiful, because my mom made me" So sweet.

Lots of Hugs from my kids

Rylee telling her whole class that it was my birthday when I showed up to help in her classroom.

lots of messages on Facebook. I definitely felt loved.

We ended the day with an ice cream cake.  It was so good.

It was a perfect day!  Here's to another great year.  I am truly a very blessed person with a fabulous life.

Week In Review

Last week we had Tayler's competition soccer team over for a little VICTORY celebration since they won the Mayor's Cup.  Instead of having a practice we had pizza, cookies, ice cream and played a little Red Rover and Freeze Dance.  I think the girls had fun.  It was funny how many of them wanted to play a game of soccer in the back yard.  Silly girls!  You give them a break and they still want to play :)

They were nice enough to let Rylee and Jayson in on their games.

They all get along amazingly!  I love these little gals.  They have their first League game tonight.  I can't wait.

Sean left Friday morning and flew to Texas to watch the Longhorns vs. BYU game!  They ended up staying in the same hotel the BYU players were at.  Livin' the dream right?!  They ran into Jake Heaps among other players.  I learned the one on the Left is Ziggy and I should know the other one because he is one of their best players, but I don't.

I am just impressed that he took pictures.  Great job babe!  AND all you BYU haters, I don't want to hear your comments please.  You have your team that you like, he loves his team.  Enough said.

Today was picture day at school.  I posted these just because they are my little darlings.

Most of the week, Jackson has been puking on and off.  I had the great fortune of having it drench me Sunday night--literally (I think a little even went in my mouth).  Yep, motherhood.  He refuses to eat anything, except Popsicles, which isn't a bad thing, but he is SO skinny.  Hopefully he will get better soon.

Thankfully, yesterday at the store I found his EXACT blanket so I bought it.  Last night when he puked for the second time and I was seriously so tired I could barely see straight, I whipped the new blanket out of the sack and he fell right back asleep with it.  I don't think I could have stayed awake to wash it, but he wouldn't have gone back to sleep without it.  SO THANKFUL for that small blessing!  Not thankful that I have turned him into Linus!  He is so cuddly though, so I am loving it.

Anyway, hope your week is going well!  Loves.

1st day of Pre-school

Jayson was so excited to start pre-school this morning.  He didn't seem the least bit nervous or apprehensive.  I knew he would LOVE it and know that he will learn so much this year (he is one that soaks in everything and wants to keep learning more).  He brought me the addition flashcards the other day and wanted me to teach him all of them.  He is a smart kid!

While I was combing his hair I asked him if he was excited and he said "yeah, but I will miss home."  He is my little buddy and I did miss him.  Jackson was bored :)

Now it is just me and this little trouble maker every Tuesday and Thursday morning.  What will we do?

Mayors Cup

Since Wednesday of this week, Tayler has played in another soccer tournament and she did AWESOME! She was able to score a goal in every single game (except the last one). I was so proud of her and have so much fun watching the games. I guess I am becoming a full blown soccer mom!

Their team is adorable and it is amazing to see the friendships that are forming and their excitement for each other. Each one of them is a darling, very talented girl.  Sean has really enjoyed coaching them as well.  He gets a kick out of the girls.
Anyway, they were VICTORIOUS and won the championship game this evening. It was thrilling to see.

Here are some pictures from the week:

Tayler started out as goal keeper for the first half and moved to Forward in the second half.

Wild Weekend

Our weekend was BUSY, HOT, and FUN!!

Friday night I went on a date with my mom and it was great!  We went out to dinner and then saw The Help, which was SUCH a great movie. Tayler and Rylee had a late-night birthday party so Sean dropped them off from 7-10 and then had the first ever "BOYS CLUB" night..  so funny!  They went and saw Kung Fu Panda 2.  Everyone enjoyed themselves (except for the part when Sean lost Jackson in the movie theater). Also, a not so great thing, I lost my phone Friday morning, thanks to Jackson.  I felt lost without it!

Saturday, we woke up early for 3 soccer games.  Jayson's was at 9:00, Rylee's was at 10:30 and Tayler's was at 1:00.  They ALL won their games and all did amazing!!  It was so dang HOT though!  Man, I don't know how Tayler played in the heat, but they did and did very well.  That will be our Saturday life for the next few weeks (not that soccer hasn't been already).

Jayson scored 3 goals.  He was really aggressive and did great and told me how much fun he had.  He was darling!

Surprisingly, his game was super HOT too even though it was at 9:00.  He was tired at the end :)

Rylee is on a great team that now plays 6 v 6 with a Goalie.  Her coach started her out as the goalie and she stopped every single one!  As soon as she came out of the goal she went right down and scored.  She even did a scissor move to fake out the other player.  It was so cute and her dad was so proud!

Their team is the green glow sticks.

Tayler was a rock star as usual.  He rec team is really good and they played their little hearts out.  I kept rubbing ice on their faces when they came in for a rest.  It had to be 95 degrees at this hour.

I was glad to get into the car with some air conditioning blowing (and I didn't even do anything :)

After all the games, we came home and packed up for a night at the cabin with our friends the Bangerter's. We meet them around 3:30 and headed up.  Their family cabin is about 15 minutes from Park City and is in a beautiful location.  We did a LOT of 4 wheelin' which everyone loved!   My kids were with their best friends so everything was perfect.  I ate WAY too many treats and enjoyed every second.  There is something so peaceful in the mountains, we all were in heaven.

We had the Ranger and 2 four wheelers that everyone rode on.  We saw deer and 2 big moose.

Now, back to the 2nd week of school.  I love our little get-aways we get to do.  Thanks for everything Bangerters.  We love you guys!

Another one bites the dust

We had Tayler's family birthday party tonight at our pool.  Since it was 99 degrees out it was the perfect place to celebrate.  Thank you everyone for coming! You guys are wonderful.

She requested a "PURSE" cake for her party so here it is..

Unfortunately, because of the HOT temperature the cake started to melt about 2 minutes after we arrived at the pool.  I seriously didn't even think about that factor!  Oh well.  At least we took the pictures before we left and it still tasted pretty good :)

We ate pizza and swam all evening.  It was a great evening.

Also, our ward recently split (again), so I was assigned all new woman to visit teach, plus a brand new partner.
I thought it would be fun to all get together at my house so I invited everyone over for a little brunch this morning at 9:30 and it was SO MUCH FUN! I loved hanging out with all of them and the kids played so well together.  My partner is awesome and the woman I have been assigned to visit are so great.

Off to the Races..

These 2 gals were up early and very excited to go to their 1st day of school.  Rylee helped me pack the lunch boxes.  They were able to talk to Grandma and read the sweet text from Jen.

Can they really be in 1st and 4th grade?  It is very bitter sweet to let go.  I am so proud when I watch the wonderful little people they are becoming! They were both blessed with amazing teachers this year too.  When we attended their back to school night last week, I was so pleased with both of them.  I think they will have a great year!

Last night Sean gave them the most beautiful Father's blessings.  As I listened I was filled with so much hope for these 2 girls.  They definitely have bright futures ahead of them.

Now that the 2 boys are home I promised Jayson on the first day of school we could go to Boondocks.  As soon as we dropped Tayler and Rylee off he couldn't wait to go.  I finished getting ready and they played for a while.  It was so quiet and they played so nicely.  I know that won't always be the case, but I enjoyed it!

The greatest part of the day for Jayson was hitting the jackpot.. Yep, 1000 tickets baby!  He was jumping up and down screaming and the few people that were there, stopped to congratulate him.  He was very pleased!  We had to wait about 5 minutes for the machine to spit out all 1000 tickets and then go put them in the ticket feeder.  He couldn't wait to tell the girls when they came home.  I think the most we have won (combined) is around 300 so it was a big deal.

I totally didn't realize that today was early out so I was 15 minutes late picking them up.  Not a bad way to start out the year.. it can only go up from there. HAHAHA!!

Welcome back school, we have missed you!

Zoo day

Thursday morning my friend Anna called and wondered if we were up for the zoo. Of course we were, so we packed a lunch and headed out.

It was SO crowded.  For some reason I thought more people would have started school, but everyone must have had the same idea as us.  It was a fun day regardless!

Highlights from the day:

Flavor Burst Ice cream cones
Elephant Show
Train Ride
Great Friends
New Dinosours they have all over
The Tiger that walked right past us down the hill

I think once a year is enough Hogle Zoo for me.  Thanks for a fun day Bangerters!
