Jayson is 6

Jayson was looking forward to his birthday for a long time this year.  He really wanted to do his party at Boondocks so that is what we did.  I let him invite 6 friends for his special day.  I sure love this kid!  They had a great time playing together.  I am so grateful for our neighborhood.  There are some great friends for him to play with!

Last Day of School

I was so excited for the last day of school.  I was so ready to not make lunches, be on a schedule and have to deal with Homework!
The girls had mixed emotions about being done.  Rylee was ready, but Tayler didn't want to say good-bye to her teacher.  We all know how Tayler is with change, so I told her I would pay her $100 if she didn't cry.  Sean and I both thought there was no way that she could do it, even if she wanted too.  Her heart is too tender and she just can't stop the tears sometimes.

Her and Rylee were both waiting for me outside the school when I pulled in. Tayler got in the car, smiled, and said "see I did it" then said "mom, is it okay if I cry now?  It has been so hard"  She told me that they had watched a DVD her darling teacher put together of the school year and all the pictures she had taken throughout the year.  I cried with her at that point.

I couldn't believe that she held it in at school.

Jayson and Jackson helped me make our sign to run through at the end.  They were both excited to have the girls home again.

 GOOOOOOOOOOO.......................

It was a fun year, full of good memories for both of them!

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day this year, we went to my Dad's grave without my Mom.  It was strange to not have her there with us.  That has been our tradition for so many years!  We sent her the pictures and knew she was there with us in spirit (from TEXAS :)

It was a beautiful day.  We even heard the bagpipes.  I love it!

Catch up time

Oh my goodness... I haven't posted since April, Really?  What a slacker I am.
I am going to try to catch up since school is starting and I want to be all caught up by then.

Tayler had ballroom at the her school in the mornings and right before school ended they did a little concert.  It was so cute and fun for the kids to do it.  She is excited to do level 2 ballroom in 6th grade.

Spring Break: Las Vegas

For Sping Break, we had originally had Tayler scheduled to get her tonsils out, but since it wasn't urgent and her Dr. said we could wait until summer, we decided to head to Las Vegas for the week.  My work was slow and Sean got the whole week off, so we left Friday around 11.  We didn't tell the kids.  I packed for everyone, loaded it in the truck, checked out Tay & Rylee from school and picked up Sean in Salt Lake.  The boys were SO excited when I told them.  I wrote a letter for Tayler and Rylee to read before they got to the car.

(up to this point Tayler still thought she was having her tonsils out in a few hours).. mean!

They were all very excited when I told them!

Jackson kept chanting "Las Vegas" about a billion times!

I had done a LOT of shopping and packed their suitcases with all new summer clothes, since we were heading into the 80's for the week.  It was heaven.  Friday night we found the yummiest pizza place.

Saturday, the boys went to see the Sharks and the girls went to get manicures and pedicures

Our hotel had a movie theater and bowling alley so we saw:

and Sean and the 3 oldest kids saw:
and we ate WAY too much popcorn!

Easter was that Sunday, so the Easter Bunny found his way to our Hotel room.

after the hunt, we All cuddled in Bed and watched "The Testament"  I cried.  I love that show and I love how well my kids watched it. Then we talked about our testimonies and the importance off what Easter really means.  It was wonderful.

Jackson was being a stinker and wouldn't stand close to Tayler.  What a funny little boy!

We rode the tram and had a great day together!

The rest of the week, we swam, ate, slept, and walked around all the hotels.

They loved the Venetian.  It is beautiful inside and they loved the gondola's.

One night, Sean found a mini Gran Prix. It was a blast.  They all loved it!

The sun felt so nice!  I love to be warm.  I love to not worry about jackets, or coats.  We wore shorts and flip flops the whole time.

My kids love to swim!  I love to lay in the sun, so it all worked out.  When Jackson got tired, he and Sean would go back to the room and take a nap.  Everyone was happy :)

We game home to the first outdoor soccer games of the season's.  Jayson was so excited to play he could hardly stand it.  Here is #2 back in action.

We also got our Lagoon Passes for the Season after Jayson's game.  Jayson was 46 inches, exactly, so he was tall enough to go on all the big rides. He was in Heaven and not afraid one bit! The 4 of us went on all the big rides and then Sean and Jackson came later and I hung out in kiddie land with Jacks.

Jayson's favorite rides were Wicked and White Roller Coaster.  I love that they are fearless.

It was a wonderful Spring Break, topped off with Conference on Sunday. I am so glad that we took a little time away and played together.  Love my little fam!
